Conventionally, for the above jacks, especially small jacks, a method has been adopted in which each terminal of the pin type contact or movable contact piece is bonded to the printed wiring board by reflowing the cream solder on the printed wiring board. The mounting process on the board is automated. Among such reflow compatible jacks, like the jack 100 shown in FIG.
Conventionally, a terminal 120 provided on the body 110 has a tongue-shaped seating portion 121 curved at the tip thereof. By keeping it in contact with the mounted body 11
0 was supported by the terminal 120 to prevent the body 110 from wobbling.

However, when the conventional jack 100 is mounted on the printed wiring board P through an automated mounting process, when the seating part 121 of the terminal 120 is soldered by reflow, the cream solder C gets around the seating part 121. As a result, the entire circumference of the seating section 121 was not fixed to the printed wiring board P by the cream solder C, so the bonding force between the seating section 121 and the printed wiring board P tended to be insufficient.

Therefore, after mounting, when inserting or removing the plug into the plug insertion hole 130 of the body 110, the body 110
There was a problem in that the seating portion 121 could be peeled off from the printed wiring board P relatively easily if it was pried. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that the legs 122 of the terminals 120 prevent the body 110 from wobbling, leaving no room for movement of the body 110.

Such a problem arises when the legs 122 of the terminal 120
This is caused by the fact that there is no space between the seating portion 121 and the side surface 111 for the cream solder C to go around, since it is in contact with the side surface 111 of the body 110.

This idea solves the above problems, and by devising the shape of the terminal, even when mounting on a printed wiring board is automated, the reflowed solder can be sufficiently distributed around the seating area of the terminal. The seat is firmly connected to the printed wiring board by rotating around.
Moreover, even if the body is pried when inserting or removing the plug after mounting, it absorbs some of the force that comes with it, and prevents too much prying force from being applied to the joint between the seating part and the solder, and the joint between the solder and the printed wiring board. The aim is to provide a jack that will never go away.

According to the jack of this invention, there is a gap between the seating part of each terminal of the terminal member or movable contact piece and the side of the body
Since a gap is formed, reflowing the solder makes it easier for the solder to go around the entire periphery of the seating part, and the entire periphery of the seating part is soldered, making the joint area of the seating part to the solder smaller than before. It also becomes wider. Further, after mounting, the twisting force applied to the body when inserting and removing the plug into the plug insertion hole is absorbed to some extent by the elastic deformation of the terminal of the terminal member and the terminal provided in the frame.

Furthermore, since each terminal is configured in a flat plate shape and the width direction of each terminal is along the plug insertion direction, the terminal does not deform in the plug insertion direction and the plug removal direction. Therefore, when inserting the plug into the plug insertion hole or removing the plug from the plug insertion hole, the body does not shake in the direction in which the plug is inserted or removed.

In addition, the body is held by the rear plate part and the arm part of the terminal member, and in this state it is mounted on the printed wiring board, so the body is reinforced by the terminal member, and the body is can be made thinner, which helps promote the miniaturization of the jack.

In the automated mounting process, a thin layer of cream solder is applied in advance to predetermined locations on the printed wiring board, and the seating portions 4 of the four terminals 44, 44, 53, and 62 of the jack 1 are placed on top of the cream solder.
4c, 44c, 53c, and 62c are mounted, and the cream solder is reflowed by heating. When the cream solder is reflowed in this way, for example, as for the seating part 44c, as is clear from FIGS. The entire periphery of the seating portion 44c is joined to the printed wiring board P by cream solder C. That is, the bonding area between the seating portion 44c and the cream solder C is larger than in the conventional jack described at the beginning, and the seating portion 44c is more firmly bonded to the printed wiring board P. Therefore, when inserting or removing the plug, body 2
The seating portion 44c does not easily peel off from the printed wiring board P even if it is pried. Further, when the body 2 is twisted, the arm piece 41 of the terminal member 4, the terminal, or the terminal 53 on the movable contact piece 52 side is elastically deformed to some extent and the twisting force is absorbed, so that the seating part 44c and the cream solder The force applied to the joints with C and the joints between cream solder C and printed wiring board P is reduced compared to the conventional case, and the seating part 44c is more difficult to peel off. By the way, if a curved end surface 44d is formed on the seating portion 44c as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the above-mentioned bonding area will be further increased, so there is an advantage that the seating portion 44c can be more firmly bonded to the cream solder C. be. Since the other terminals 53 and 62 exhibit similar effects, the jack 1 is mounted very firmly on the printed wiring board P, and the above-mentioned twisting force is effectively absorbed. 53d and 62d indicate curved end surfaces formed on the seating portions 53c and 62c. Note that a plurality of protrusions 29... (see Fig. 3) are provided on the back surface (board mounting surface) of the body 2, and these protrusions 29... are drilled into the printed wiring board P as shown in Fig. 1 prior to mounting. If the jack 1 is installed and inserted into the hole P1, the jack 1 will not be displaced during reflow of the cream solder C.

On the other hand, the four terminals 44, 44, 53, and 62 are all configured in a flat plate shape, and the width direction thereof is along the plug insertion direction, and the rigidity in the plug insertion direction is extremely large, so that the body 2 is inserted into the plug. There is no wobbling in the direction. Therefore, when the body is forcibly broken, these terminals 44, 44, 53, 6
Although it is capable of absorbing the prying force by the elastic deformation of the plug, the body does not wobble when the plug is inserted or removed, and the plug insertion and removal operations can be performed reliably.

As detailed above, according to the jack of this invention, even if soldered to a printed wiring board by reflow, the solder will not only penetrate into the outer part of the terminal seating area but also into the space between them, resulting in solder joints. The increased force and the twisting force that occurs when inserting and removing the plug into the plug insertion hole after mounting are absorbed to some extent by the elastic deformation of the terminal of the terminal member, the arm piece, the terminal of the movable contact side, etc. Due to the synergistic effect that the twisting force applied to the joint between the part and the solder is smaller than that in the past, the seating part is not easily peeled off from the printed wiring board. Therefore, even when the jack is mounted on a printed wiring board through an automated mounting process, a strong and reliable mounting state can be obtained, making it ideal as a reflow compatible jack whose mounting process is automated. Furthermore, since the terminal is configured in a flat plate shape and the width direction of the terminal is along the plug insertion direction, the body does not wobble in the plug insertion direction and the plug removal direction, so that the plug can be inserted and removed from the plug insertion hole. can be done reliably.
Further, the reinforcing action of the rear plate portion and the arm portion of the terminal member helps to make the body thinner, thereby promoting miniaturization of the jack.

実用性のきわめて大きいものである。
Therefore, it can be widely used as an ultra-compact power jack for small devices such as headphone stereos, microcassette tape recorders, and calculators where plugs are frequently inserted and removed.
This is extremely practical.
