断刃の前縁を前方から後方にかけてその対向間隔
が狭まる傾斜縁に形成したことにより、一対の植
付爪が集団苗の苗床を分割する際に、分割される
部分の苗茎部に損傷を与えることなく、これを苗
床縦切断刃の対向間隔内から苗床横切断刃の対向
間隔内へ円滑に誘導しながら、先ず苗床縦切断刃
により運動軌跡に沿つて苗床に縦方向の切れ目を
形成し、続いて該苗床縦切断刃が通過した運動軌
跡上で苗床横切断刃により苗床に横方向の切れ目
を形成して分割時の切断抵抗を少くし、もつて苗
床に崩れを生じさせることなく確実に分割して、
苗姿勢の乱れや苗の腰折れを皆無にし、常に苗の
植付けを適正に行うことができる田植機における
