苗の根部を引っ掛けて上方に連れ持ちして引き上げてし
まうことがあり、その後の植付け作動を円滑に行えない
弊害が生じていた。又、線材が植付け対象苗と後続苗と
の根部にそのまま侵入するだけでこれらを分離させる作
用が充分でなく、植付け株本数のバラツキが生じるおそ
れがあり、未だ改善の余地があった。本発明は上記不具
合点を解消することを目的としている。

り出し口6から苗を取り出して圃場に植付ける植付爪
7、植付爪7の苗取り出し作動に先立って苗に作用し
て、植付け対象苗を苗取り出し口6に向けて押し出し保
持する苗保持具8等を備えて構成してある。前記植付爪
7は、揺動クランク機構9により支持される植付ケース
10の先端に取付けられ、側面視ほぼ楕円軌跡を描きな
がら上下動して、苗取り出し口6から侵入して植付け苗
を保持して圃場に植付けるよう作動する。前記苗保持具
8は、植付伝動ケース3に前後の揺動アーム15,16
を介して平行四連リンク機構により前後揺動移動自在に
支持され、伝動ケース3内に配備したギア咬合機構11
によって、後方の退避位置と前方に揺動して先端の保持
爪8aが植付爪の侵入箇所の上方側であって、植付け対
象苗の根部よりも上部側箇所に突入して当該苗を苗取り
出し口6に向けて押し出し保持するとともに、後続苗と
の間を分離する作用位置とに切り換え揺動駆動するよう
構成してある。尚、この姿勢切り換え作動は植付爪7の
駆動と同期して行われ、植付爪7による苗取り出し作動
に先立って作用姿勢に切り換わるよう駆動タイミングを
設定してある。つまり、植付爪駆動用揺動クランク機構
9におけるクランク回転アーム14の駆動軸17からギ
ア咬合機構11を介して揺動アーム15を前後揺動駆動
するよう構成してある。そして、前記保持爪8aは、先
鋭先端部12から後方側ほど側面視で幅広となるよう先
狭まりのテーパ形状に形成してある。詳述すると、図
1、図2に示すように、前記保持爪8aは、先端作用部
が2股状に切欠形成してあり、各分割爪部13,13に
より植付け対象苗を挟み込み保持して苗取り出し口6に
押し出し作用するよう構成するとともに、各分割爪部1
3,13は、先端を先鋭に尖らせるとともに、側面視で
テーパ状となるよう後方側が幅広になるよう形成してあ
る。このように構成すると、苗に対する作用時に、先端
先鋭部12が植付け対象苗W1と後続苗W2との間に侵
入し、その侵入に伴って爪部13の上部側面13aと下
方側の斜面部13bとにより各苗を上下に押し広げるよ
う作用し、斜面部13bにより植付け対象苗W1が苗取
り出し口6側に押し出し作用を受けることになる。従っ
て、植付け対象苗W1と後続苗W2との分離が確実に行
われ、植付爪7により苗取り出し時に後続苗W2の一部
が引きずり出されることが少なく、保持爪8aの退避位
置への戻り移動時に苗の一部を連れ持ち引きずり上げる
ことが少ないものとなる。
