FIGS. 7 to 9 show an example of a conventional outer wall structure, in which the strip-shaped outer panels 1' are connected in the horizontal direction in a staggered manner. The horizontal connection is as shown in FIG.
Bend the end toward the indoor side to form the ear piece 14',
14', and a U-shaped drainage recess 21' is formed in the center of the steel plate connecting member 2', and the lug parts 14', 14' of the adjacent exterior plates 1', 1' are connected to each other. A configuration is adopted in which the outer plate 1' and the connecting member 2' are fitted into the drainage recess 21' and fixed to the base material 3' with fixing members 31' such as nails or screws. As shown in FIG. 9, the vertical connection structure is such that a protrusion 11' facing obliquely upward toward the outdoor side is formed at the upper end of each exterior plate 1', and a protrusion 11' is formed at the lower end of each exterior plate 1'. By forming a receiving portion 13' large enough to insert the protruding strip 11' into the receiving portion 13', and inserting the protruding strip 11' into the receiving portion 13', the lower exterior plate 1' and the upper exterior plate 1' is adopted.

However, in the case of such a configuration, when adjacent exterior plates 1', 1' are connected with the connecting member 2',
The lower end of the connecting member 2' and the receiving part 13' of the exterior plate 1'
Since gaps A and B (see FIG. 3 for B) are formed between the receiving parts 13' and 13' and between the adjacent receiving parts 13' and 13',
Rainwater blows in through these gaps A and B, and the exterior panels 1',
1' and stays there for a relatively long time, so the rust prevention treatment must be strictly applied, not only on the back side of the exterior plate, where rust prevention treatment is relatively easy. Rust also occurs on the back side of the exterior panels, and if heat shielding material is provided on the back surface of the exterior panels 1', 1', this may peel off or corrode, disrupting the original function of the insulation material. There was an inconvenience that I was unable to fulfill my duties.

Therefore, in order to eliminate such inconvenience,
It was considered to inject a filler such as caulking material into the above gaps A and B, but in this case, since the above gap A is opened to the back, it is necessary to completely seal the gap with the filler. is very difficult, and the gap B between the adjacent receiving parts 13'
It was also impossible to seal it with a filler because it opened downward.

(Effects of the invention) As described above, the invention effectively prevents rainwater from entering from the front side by arranging the drainage recess of the connecting member between the side edges of the facing exterior panels. In addition, a fitting plate part is formed at the lower end of the connecting member to fit into the fitting recess of the adjacent exterior plate, and the fitting plate part and the fitting recess and the adjacent fitting plate part are formed at the lower end of the connecting member. Since the sealing member is arranged between the mating recesses to seal the space between them, there is a gap between the lower end of the connection part and the mating recess of the exterior plate, and a gap between the adjacent mating recesses. The resulting gaps can be reliably sealed with the sealing member, and therefore rainwater can be effectively prevented from entering through these gaps. Therefore, it is possible to effectively prevent rust from the back side of the exterior plate, peeling of the heat insulating material, corrosion, etc., which conventionally occur.
