Conventionally, a vehicle seat consisting of a seat cushion part and a seat back part, which are rotatably connected by a reclining device, has a substantially rectangular shape as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. Support plates 2, 2 are attached to the lower ends of both sides of a seat back frame 1 made of a molded pipe, and a pair of left and right reclining devices 3, which are attached to a seat cushion frame (not shown), are fixed to the outside of the support plates 2, 2. I try to do that. The reclining device 3 is constructed by mounting plates 4, 4, which are approximately triangular in shape, and a rotating plate 5, which is circular on the lower side and has a tongue piece on the upper side, and are rotatably attached to each other by a connecting shaft 6. The front side apex 4a of the mounting plates 4, 4 to the seat cushion side,
4a is bent toward the frame side of the seat cushion part, and mounting holes 4b, 4b are formed therein, and the lower ends of the mounting plates 4, 4 are provided with the front apexes 4a, 4a.
a locking piece 7 that locks the reclining device 3 in the space formed between the mounting plates 4, 4 and the seat cushion frame by bending;
7 is attached, and the reclining device 3 is locked by the locking pieces 7, 7 and the locking grooves 4c, 4c formed at the lower ends of the mounting pieces 4, 4. Note that reference numeral 8 is a spring that urges the locking piece 7 toward the mounting plate 4 side. The seat back frame 1 having such a reclining mechanism has a second reclining mechanism.
As shown in the figure, it is assembled so that it is covered from the upper side to the front side by a cushioning material 9 made of foam molded resin, etc., and the outer surface side is further covered with a skin 10 made of leather, cloth, etc. The end portions of this skin 10 are connected to each other by clips 11 on the lower side of the seat back portion S. A recess 9a for loosely inserting the connecting shaft 6 of the reclining device 3 is formed on the lower side of the cushioning material 9, and this recess 9a allows the connecting shaft 6 to rotate smoothly without biting the cushioning material 9. I'm starting to be able to move.

However, in the conventional vehicle seat as described above, when an occupant seated on the seat contacts the seat back part S with the back side and applies weight G to the rear side, the cushioning material 9 of the seat back part S
This has the disadvantage that the lower side of the seat back part S comes into contact with the connecting shaft 6 and prevents the rotation of the reclining device 3, thereby hindering the smooth rotation of the seat back part S. If forced rotation is applied while they are in contact with each other, the shock absorbing material 9 will be caught up in the connecting shaft 6, resulting in damage to the shock absorbing material 9 from the concave portion 9a side. In addition, since the cushioning material 9 forms the recess 9a on the lower side of the seat back part S and is thin, the seated person is more sensitive to the connecting shaft 6 in the recess 9a than other parts that contact the back. This also has the drawback that the connecting shaft 6 makes the user feel like a foreign body in the lower back area, impairing a good seating feeling.

3 to 5 are simplified configuration diagrams showing an embodiment of the vehicle seat according to the present invention. In the figures, the frame 16 of the seat back portion 15 is made by bending a long pipe into a substantially rectangular shape. A support plate 17 made of a flat metal plate attached by welding or the like is fixed to the lower part of both sides of the frame 16, and a reclining device 18 is rotatably attached to this support plate 17 by a connecting shaft 19. It is being The reclining device 18 is
A reclining device 18 which is made by deforming a substantially triangular metal plate and which reclines toward the seat cushion side.
It consists of a mounting plate 20 for attaching the support plate 20, and a rotating plate 21 whose lower side is disk-shaped, the connecting shaft 19 communicates with the center, and whose upper side is a tongue piece for fixing to the support plate 17. . In addition, the mounting plate 20
The rear end side of a seat cushion frame (not shown), which is formed in the same manner as the seat back frame 16, is attached to the front end side of the seat back frame 16. As a result, the seat bag and seat cushion themselves are completely separated, so that when the seat bag is rotated forward, it can be rotated to a substantially horizontal position. A protection plate 22 is provided on the lower end side of the seat back frame 16, and is formed by curve-molding a long plate extending in the width direction of the frame 16 to have a substantially C-shaped cross section.
The upper end of this protective plate 22 is bent upward to form a flat mounting part 22a, which is fixed to the seatback frame 16 with screws 23, and the lower end is a free end. It's summery. On the back side of the seat back part 15, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, a cushioning material 24 is placed on the front side of the seatback part frame 16, and the outer circumferential side of this cushioning material 24 is covered with a skin 25. The front end 25a of the skin 25 is folded back and tightened to the lower side of the lower end 22b of the protection plate 22, and the rear end 25b of the skin 25 is folded back to form the attachment part 25c, and then the lower part A skirt 25 that hangs down to the side and hides the mounting part 25c
d. The connection of the terminal of the epidermis 25 is as follows:
The front end 2 of the skin 25 is located at a plurality of mounting holes 22c formed in the lower end 22b of the protection plate 22.
5a and the mounting portion 25c of the rear end 25b are tightened together using the worm clip 26.

According to the vehicle seat configured as described above, even if a load G such as the weight of the occupant is applied from the front side of the seat back portion 15, this load G is suppressed by the protection plate 22 attached to the frame 16 of the seat back portion 15. reclining device 1 because it can catch
The connecting shaft 19 of No. 8 is inserted into the recess 27 formed by the protection plate 22.
Therefore, it is not subjected to pressure from the cushioning material 24 as in the conventional case. Furthermore, since the cushioning material 24 and the connecting shaft 19 do not come into direct contact with each other, the cushioning material 24 does not get caught up in the connecting shaft 19. Furthermore, unlike a small-diameter bar like the connecting shaft 19, the protective plate 24 The surface is a curved surface, and the curved surface having a wide surface absorbs the weight G of the seated person, so that the seated person's body does not feel like a foreign body. In addition, the protective plate 2
2 has a free end on the lower end side, so it has elasticity in the front-rear direction and has good cushioning properties, and when an impact is applied to the seat back, the free end side bends to absorb the impact. can.

As explained above, the vehicle seat according to the present invention includes a seat back frame and a seat cushion frame made of pipes formed into a substantially rectangular shape, and the lower end side of the seat back frame is rotatably attached, and A pair of left and right reclining devices each consisting of a mounting plate to which the rear end side of the seat cushion frame is attached and a rotating plate to which one end side is attached to the seat back frame; In a vehicle seat having a connecting shaft that connects the rotating plate of the reclining device, and a cushioning material that covers the seat back frame and the connecting shaft, the cushioning material is spaced apart from the connecting shaft and covers the front part of the connecting shaft. A protective plate is provided that has a nearly C-shaped cross section and has one end fixed to the seatback frame and the other end free, and this protective plate prevents the cushioning material from coming into contact with the connecting shaft. The movement of the rotating shaft of the reclining device is not inhibited by the load from the front direction of the seat, and the cushioning material is prevented from being caught up in the rotating shaft due to contact between the cushioning material and the rotating shaft. In addition, it is possible to eliminate the feeling of a foreign body caused by the rotating shaft coming into contact with the back side of the seated person.
A vehicle seat having a good usability can be obtained. Further, since the other end of the protection plate is a free end, cushioning properties and shock absorption properties are improved. Further, since the outer skin is fixed to the protective plate 22 and tension is applied, wrinkles do not occur and tearing does not occur.
