Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive the orientation to a high speed and low noise with rubber tires possible in use by additionally providing respectively a primary side coil of synchronous linear motor in a track side further a magnet in a car body side and setting an air gap between primary and secondary sides of the linear motor to not less than a specific range. CONSTITUTION:A monorail vehicle, which runs at a high speed with low noise further with low vibration, is set to a rubber tire supporting guide system. The monorail vehicle is constituted, for instance, in a bestriding type, and a plurality of running wheels 23 and guide wheels 24, arranged in the lower surface of a car body 26, are respectively brought into contact with upper and both side surfaces of a track 25. Here a primary side coil 28 of a synchronous linear motor is molded into plate shape and additionally provided in the track 25. While a field electromagnet or permanent magnet 27 is additionally provided in the car body 26.
