Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce process for inserting a contact into a housing for rationalizing assembly and improving productivity by a method wherein a plurality of contact blocks are overlaid to insert each contact of the contact block into a housing contact insertion hole. CONSTITUTION:A contact block 2 cut from a hoop material is formed of a necessary number of contacts 1 wherein the two contact blocks 2 are overlaid with the contact 1 part differed in position, welded by spots and both are fixed. Therefore by overlaying two contact blocks 2, the pitch of the contact 1 is equal to the pitch of a contact insertion hole. Each contact 1 of the two joined contact blocks 2 is inserted into the contact insertion hole of a housing as it is. Thus man-hours for inserting the contact 1 can be reduced while assembly can be rationalized and productivity improved.

[Prior Art] FIG. 3 shows a conventional example, in which contacts 1 of a contact block 2 are cut from a hoop material with a predetermined number of contacts 1.
2 shows a method for mounting the contact insertion hole 4 of the housing 3. In this example, two rows of eight contact insertion holes 4 are provided in the housing 3, and two rows of contact insertion holes 4 are provided for each row.
Two contact blocks 2 are used. That is, as shown in FIG. 4, since the contact 1 is shaped by bending two contact pieces 1a + 1b so as to face each other, the contact 1 is formed by punching the contact 1 from a flat plate. The contacts 1 cannot be formed continuously corresponding to one pitch of the contact insertion holes 4 of the housing 3. Therefore, the contact 1 made of hoop material could only be formed one size and three times larger than the contact insertion hole 4 of the housing 3. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] When the pitch of the contact insertion holes 4 of the housing 3 made of a molded product is 2.54++n, the pitch of the contacts 1 of the contact block 2 is 5.08 mm. Therefore,
As shown in FIG. 3, the contact 1 is formed by cutting four contact blocks 2 from a hoop material, and the contact blocks 2 are inserted into one row of the contact insertion holes 4 of the housing 3 52 times. Become. Then, two insertion steps are required for the other column as well. After the contact 1 is inserted, it is cut halfway, leaving only the contact 1 portion.

FIG. 5 shows another conventional example of a connector in which a time lag is provided for insertion and connection between contacts and contact pins, and in this example, one row has 12 contact insertion holes,
This is the case where there are two rows of them. Therefore, the contact 1 shown in section A and the contact 1 shown in section B use parts with different lengths. in this case,
First, insert contact 1 as shown in ■, then
Insert contact 1 as shown in ■. As shown in the figure, this results in six insertion steps for one row, and 12 times for two rows. As described above, there was a problem in that the productivity in the process of inserting the contacts 1 was very poor.

[Means and effects for solving the problem] The present invention has a plurality of contact blocks stacked one on top of the other so that the contacts continuously correspond to the contact insertion holes, and each contact of the contact blocks is inserted into the contact insertion hole of the housing. It is characterized by the fact that it is made to do so.

[Embodiments] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. 1st
As shown in the figure, a contact block 2 is formed by cutting a hoop material with the required number of contacts 1, and these two contact blocks 2 are overlapped with the contact 1 part shifted, and spot welded (X part) and fix both. Therefore, by aligning the two contact blocks 2, the pitch of the contacts 1 becomes the same as the pitch of the contact insertion holes 4 of the housing 3. Then, each contact 1 of the two bonded contact blocks 2 is directly inserted into the contact insertion hole 4 of the housing 3 to assemble.

In the production process of stacking two contact blocks 2, as shown in FIG. 2, the hoop material 5 is
I now spot weld the two pieces together. Therefore, the cutting operation of the contact block 2 can be carried out in half the time compared to the conventional method, and can be done in a manner that does not require much manpower. Although the above example shows the case where there is every other contact, the necessary number of contact blocks may be superimposed on each other for every second or more trenches.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, the present invention includes a plurality of contact blocks stacked one on top of the other so that the contacts continuously correspond to the contact insertion holes, and each contact of the contact blocks is inserted into the contact insertion hole of the housing. , the process of inserting the contact into the housing can be halved compared to the conventional method, streamlining the assembly.
This has the effect of improving productivity.
