(b) Prior art When a disc record is irradiated with a laser beam in an optical record player, there are two methods: one is to irradiate the laser beam through the disc base, and the other is to irradiate it through a protective layer formed on the surface of the recording layer. ,
The former type is said to have the advantage of being less affected by changes in surface conditions.

For example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 52-32931 (H04N 5/

(c) Problems to be solved by the invention However, even with a disc record having such a configuration, the influence of the surface condition of the disc base cannot be ignored. For example, if a clutch of 50 μm or more occurs, the signal S/ This has a large effect on the N ratio. To prevent this, the wear resistance of the base surface must be improved. On the other hand, the surface of the disk base tends to become cloudy due to environmental changes such as weather changes and adhesion of dust, etc., but in the past, a method has been adopted to deal with this problem by wiping away the cloudiness each time. In this case, there is a risk of damaging the base surface during the wiping operation, and the operation itself is cumbersome.

Further, in the case of the above-mentioned disc record, since the protective layer is formed only on one side, there is a risk that the strength of the disc record will be unbalanced and the disc record will warp.

(d) Means for Solving the Problems Therefore, the present invention provides a second surface of the disk base (the surface opposite to the recording layer) which is superior in abrasion resistance compared to the disk base. It is characterized by forming a protective layer.

The figure shows a cross-sectional view of one embodiment of the present invention. 1 is a transparent disk base, which is molded from vinyl chloride and has a thickness of about 1 mm. A signal recording layer 2 is formed on one side of the disk base by a well-known method, and a first protective layer 3 for protecting this recording layer is further formed.
On the other hand, a second protective layer 4 is formed on the other surface of the disk base, which is superior in terms of antifogging and abrasion resistance compared to vinyl chloride, which is the material of the base. This protective layer is made by applying a solution of about 30% by weight of hard vinyl chloride to resinous silicone dissolved in an organic solvent to a thickness of about 100 μm on the disk base. configured. This protective layer has a surface hardness on a pencil scale.
3H, and its antifogging properties were such that no adhesion was observed even when the protective layer was exposed to boiling water vapor.

(g) Effects of the invention As described above, this embodiment uses a protective layer having both anti-fog and wear-resistant properties on the surface of the disk base through which the laser beam enters and exits, especially a mixed resin of a silicon compound and a vinyl compound. Since the protective layer is composed of the following, it is possible to obtain a disc record having excellent antifogging properties and abrasion resistance, which is practical.

Furthermore, in this example, the second protective layer has abrasion resistance and sufficient strength, and has the effect of reducing or preventing warping caused by the formation of the first protective layer.
