Conventionally, when cultivating plants such as melons, a wire mesh was formed into a nearly flat plate shape to serve as a cultivation bed, soil was mounded on top of this cultivation bed, and seeds were sown or seedlings planted on top of this soil. There is.

It corrodes when sprinkled with water and has almost no water retention capacity.
Furthermore, the roots of plants hang down through the wire mesh, preventing the stems from becoming thick, which prevents the fruits of plants such as melons from growing into beautiful spherical shapes, and the wrinkles on the surface of the fruit become thinner, reducing their commercial value. There was a problem.

The present invention is a plant cultivation bed with a nearly letter-shaped cross section. The entire material is molded with long glass fiber-impregnated thermoplastic resin so that a small cultivator can be placed on it. In addition to forming a bulge parallel to the bulge, the inner surface of the bottom plate from the bulge toward the left and right side plates is sloped downward, and drainage holes are bored at suitable locations near the intersections of the bottom plate and the left and right side plates. Each of the upper ends is bent outward to form a folded part that functions as a pulley guide for a small cultivator, and an appropriate number of ribs are provided vertically and horizontally protruding from the lower surface of the bottom plate, and at least the lower surfaces of the ribs in the direction orthogonal to the left and right side plates are made horizontal. It is a plant cultivation bed characterized by the fact that it has been formed.

The plant cultivation bed 1 is obtained by molding with a press pressure of . This plant cultivation bed 1 consists of one bottom plate 2
and the left and right side plates 3a, 3b are formed into a substantially letter shape, and a bulge 4 parallel to the left and right side plates 3a, 3b is formed in the center of the bottom plate 2, and the bottom plate 2 extends from this bulge toward the left and right side plates. The inner surfaces of the tubes are slopes 5a and 5b with downward slopes. Due to the presence of these slopes 5a and 5b, excess water supplied to the plant cultivation bed is collected near the intersection of the bottom plate 2 and the left and right side plates 3a and 3b, and this surplus water passes through the drainage holes 6 and is discharged to the outside of the plant cultivation bed. be done. Since the bottom plate 2 is plate-shaped, it has water retention properties, and the presence of drainage holes provides perfect water management, making water supply work simple and encouraging the growth of plants.

Similarly, the present invention wastes less fertilizer, whereas the conventional wire mesh cultivation bed wastes more fertilizer.

It functions as a pulley guide, and when covering the entire plant cultivation bed with a sheet to perform steam sterilization of the soil,
It also functions to improve the pressure resistance of the side plates so that they do not curve inward due to the load of the seat. Further, since vertical and horizontal ribs 8 and 9 are protruded from the bottom surface of the bottom plate 2, the overall strength of the plant cultivation bed is improved.
Since the lower surface of the plant is horizontal, stability is ensured when installing the plant cultivation bed.

Therefore, the present invention has excellent water retention and water drainage, and is corrosion resistant. Especially when used for melon cultivation, the roots do not hang down from the bottom plate, resulting in thick stems and spherical melons. Moreover, excellent effects such as the wrinkles on the surface of the melon become thicker and stand out outwards, thereby increasing the commercial value, can be achieved.
