【考案の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) 外周壁より内方に突出するリブが中心部におい
て一体となることで複数のインキ通路を確保して
いる合成樹脂製ペン先に関する。

(従来の技術) 上記した種のペン先の一例を第3図に示す。ペ
ン先A3はポリアセタール,ポリアミドなどより
なり、環状の外周壁13から内方に突出する6個
のリブ23を有し,このリブ23は1個おきに中心
部で一体となることで3個のインキ通路33を確
保している。モノフイラメントの自己融着による
押出成形法などで作製されるペン先A3は,外周
壁13の外側壁が完全な円形を有するか否かとか,
リブ23の形状や数などの点では製作者の考えに
基づいて適宜となされるが、通常、インキ通路3
に対しては、横断面において描き得る内接円の
うちで最も大きなものが外周壁側に存在するよう
製作される。リブ23が中心部において一体とな
つていることによつて強度的には有利である反
面、インキ通路が複数に分断される分だけインキ
吐出上の不利を有する点を補おうとするものであ
り、具体的には、厚みが大きい分だけ摩耗ばり
(なびき)を最も生じ易い外周壁13部で摩耗ばり
の発生によるインキ通路33の目詰まりを抑制せ
んとするものである。尚、第3図に6個描いた内
接円43が内接円中で最も大きなものであること
を示す。

た組立て後の筆記具のインキ吐出性を本来設定し
たインキ吐出性に回復させるのは極めて面倒なこ
とである。

に有せしめる。即ち、本考案は、外周壁より内方
に突出するリブが中心部において一体となること
で複数のインキ通路を確保している合成樹脂製ペ
ン先であつて、前記インキ通路は、横断面におい
て描き得る内接円として最も大きなものをペン先
中心部の近傍に有することを特徴とする合成樹脂
製ペン先を要旨とする。

(作用) 半球状とか砲弾状とかといつたように、通常ペ
ン先は中心部が最も先端に到るよう形を整えられ
る。筆記具組立時、インキはこのペン先のインキ
通路を毛細管力によつて後方から進出してくる。
この際に、第3図のようにインキ通路に対して描
き得る内接円のうち最も大きなものが外周壁側に
存在すると、外周壁側におけるインキの進出が遅
くなる。即ち、外周壁側においてインキは開口部
に到つていないのに、外周壁側より先方に開口部
が存在する他の部分では既に開口部迄インキが進
出しているという状態が形成される。この状態
で、外周壁側の開口部には後方より進出してくる
インキとその他の部分から回り込んでくるインキ
の両方の速度関係が問題となる。そして、もし
も、後方より進出してくるインキの方が遅れてし
まうと、外周壁側の開口部近傍にはインキ通路内
の気泡が生じることになる。よく知られているよ
うに、いつたんインキ通路内に発生した気泡は毛
細管力によるインキの後方からの進出を防げ、イ
ンキ吐出を不良とする。

As is well known, air bubbles generated in the ink passage prevent ink from advancing from the rear due to capillary force, resulting in poor ink discharge.

在すると、ペン先中心部の近傍部における開口部
へのインキの進出が相対的に遅にものとなる。こ
の場合、上述同様、既に開口部に到つた他の部分
のインキがペン先中心部の近傍部へと回り込もう
とするものと考えられる。しかし、回り込もうと
する方向は内側に向つてであり、そこには更に先
方に延びる壁面が存在するので、結局、インキの
開口部への到達領域は徐々にペン先の中心に向か
つて広がることになる。従つて、ペン先中心部の
近傍部におけるインキ通路内の気泡発生は仮に生
じるとしても極めて抑制されたものとなる。かよ
うに本考案者らは考察している。

外周壁11から内方に突出する6個のリブ21を有
し、このリブ21が1個おきに中心部で一体とな
ることで3個のインキ通路31を確保している点
は前述ペン先A3と同様である。リブ21の形状が
リブ23の形状と異なるが、そもそも適宜の形状
であつてよい。このペン先A1のインキ通路31
は、中心で一体とならない3個のリブ21の頂上
部にあたるところに内接円41が実線で描いてあ
る。それぞれのインキ通路31に対して描き得る
内接円の中で最も大きなものであり、筆記時のイ
ンキ吐出性の点で、約0.055mm〜0.075mm程度の直
径としておくと一般的低粘性のインキに対して概
して良好である。3個とも同一の直径である必要
はないが、インキ通路31は同一形状である方が
筆記方向性を抑える上で好ましいので図では同一
の直径としてある。また、図中、外周壁11側に
も6個の内接円が破線で描いてあるが、中心部近
傍の内接円41に次いで大きなものである。前述
した「摩耗ばり」の観点によつて可能ならば、存
在させた方がよく、内接円41の直径に比べて小
さな値であり、かつ、約0.045mm〜0.065mm程度に
しておくとよい。尚、それぞれのインキ通路31
に対し2個ずつ存在するが必ずしも同じ直径を有
さなくてもよい。

路32に付与した点にある。溝部52より溝部62
による毛細管力の強い方がよいのであるが、大き
な内接円に接するように、あるいは近傍に、この
ような毛管力の強く働く部分を形成しておくこと
で、筆記具に組立てる際のインキのペン先開口端
に到る迄の時間を短くすることができる。尚、破
線で示した内接円は内接円42に次いで大きなも
のである。

インキ吐出不足の不良品を生じ難い、従つて、イ
ンキ吐出性が非常に安定した量産品となる。ちな
みに、第2実施例として説明したペン先A2につ
いて、直径0.88mm,インキ通路32の直径0.60mm,
内接円42の直径0.07mm(3個とも)、第2図で破
線で示した円の直径0.06mm,ポリアセタール製と
したものを100本準備し、水性黒色顔料インキ
(4.7cps)を充填したインキ吸蔵体使用筆記具に
組立て、直ちに横向け状態に維持し、十分にイン
キ通路32の開口端までインキが到つたと思料さ
れる1時間後に筆記したときの筆跡かすれを生じ
た不良品発生本数は僅かに1本であつた。
