[Detailed description of the invention] [Industrial field of application] The present invention involves arranging a plurality of elastic contact pieces made of conductive metal strips in parallel, and driving a movable elastic contact piece among them to This invention relates to a leaf switch that electrically opens and closes by contacting or separating from a fixed elastic contact piece.

Conventionally, this type of leaf switch has been widely used, in which a plurality of elastic plates made of conductive metal strips are held by an insert-molded synthetic resin base. However, when insert molding the base, the thin elastic contacts are easily deformed by the pressure of the molding resin, making it cumbersome to adjust the contact spacing after molding, and having to remove burrs caused by molding. Furthermore, there are other problems such as requiring insert molding equipment. Furthermore, when changing the shape of the elastic contact piece, there is also the problem that the mold needs to be corrected each time, leading to increased costs.

In addition, in order to eliminate insert molding, a method of assembling by sandwiching a contact piece between two mutually fitted synthetic resin molded products is also known, for example, as disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 53-2276. However, it has the disadvantage of being relatively expensive because it requires a large number of parts and takes time to assemble.

An object of the present invention is to provide a leaf switch in which a plurality of elastic contact pieces arranged in parallel can be easily held without insert molding, in order to eliminate such conventional drawbacks.

The gist of this invention to achieve the above objectives is as follows:
The bases of a plurality of elastic contact pieces made of conductive metal strips are bonded together using double-sided adhesive tape having electrical insulation properties, and the bonded bases are fitted and fixed into grooves in a base made of an insulator. It is a leaf switch featuring the following.

FIG. 1 is a side view of the leaf switch according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along the - line in FIG.
a and 2a indicate the contact points of the elastic contact pieces 1 and 2, respectively. The movable elastic contact piece 1 and the fixed elastic contact piece 2 are joined at their base portions 3 via a double-sided adhesive tape 4 having electrical insulation properties. The parts of the movable elastic contact piece 1 and the fixed elastic contact piece 2 other than the base portion 3 are expanded to form a predetermined interval, so that, for example, a driving stroke can be obtained. In this way, the bases 3 of the plurality of elastic contact pieces 1 and 2 joined as shown in FIG. 3a are fitted into the grooves 6 provided in the base 5 of the insulator as shown in FIG. do.

In this case, the thickness A of the base 3 including the elastic contact pieces 1 and 2 to be inserted and the double-sided adhesive tape 4 is
The elastic contact pieces 1 and 2 can be adhesively fixed to the base 5 as is by making the width approximately equal to or slightly thicker than the groove width B so that the elastic contact pieces 1 and 2 are forcibly inserted into the groove 6. I can do it. In order to make it easier to fit the base 3 into the groove 6, it is desirable to chamfer the entrance as shown in FIG. 3b.

Although the above-mentioned embodiment shows the case where there are only two elastic contact pieces, as shown in FIG.
Of course, even if there are three or more sheets, the present invention can be applied by joining them with double-sided adhesive tapes 4a and 4b.

[Effects of the invention] As explained above, the leaf switch according to the present invention does not require insert molding as in conventional methods, so it is possible to prevent deformation of the elastic contact piece due to insert molding, and it is also possible to adjust the contact spacing. It is easy and cost-effective. Further, since a plurality of elastic contact pieces are bonded together using double-sided adhesive tape, the work is easy, and since the thickness of the bonded base portion can be reduced, the structure can also be made smaller.
