を検出して半導体スイツチング素子によりフイー
ドバツク制御するチヨツパー回路と、このチヨツ
パー回路と前記放電ランプの間に接続され点灯開
始時に前記放電ランプに高圧を供給する起動器と
を有する放電ランプ点灯装置において、 前記チヨツパー回路は、複数の半導体スイツチ
ング素子が並列に接続されて、各々の半導体スイ
ツチング素子は同時にオンされることなく、順次
オンされて駆動することを特徴とする放電ランプ
