Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of a long hour for drying clothes outside a drier and prevent the occurrence of a damp-dry state under an adverse weather condition by detecting the surrounding humidity and temperature of a drier for the concerned clothes before the operation of the drier respectively with humidity and temperature detectors, and informing a user accordingly when an atmospheric condition is not suitable for the natural drying of the clothes. CONSTITUTION:A control device 7 for controlling a drying operation is provided with a humidity detector 8 for detecting humidity surrounding a drier, and a temperature detector 9 for detecting temperature surrounding the drier. A drum having a drying chamber is pivotally supported in the body 1 of the drier in such a way as to be freely rotatable. In addition, the inside of the body 1 is provided with a heater and an air blower for supplying hot air to the drum, and a transmission device and an electric motor for driving the aforesaid air blower and motor.
