Abstract

PURPOSE:To disperse tension acting upon a pillar in to a door frame by moving a connecting member disposed at the pillar interlockingly with a rotating seat belt inserting anchor plate pivotally fixed at the pillar so as to fit the connecting member into the connecting hole of the door frame. CONSTITUTION:When tension acts upon a seat belt 6, an anchor plate 4, a pin 14 and a lever 15 are respectively rotated clockwise. A connecting member 18 is thereby pushed at one end 18a thereof by the lever 15 so as to be moved to the left against a spring 20, and thereby the other end 18b is fitted into the connecting hole 19 of a door frame 7. That is, a rear pillar 3b and the door frame 7 are placed in the connected state through the connecting member 18. As a result, even if large tension is applied to the seat belt 6, the tension acting upon the rear pillar 3b is partially born by the door frame 7 through the connecting member 18. The rear pillar 3b is therefore prevented from being pulled inward to the front to be deformed.

し、ケーシング16内に、連結部材18をピストン17
を介してレバー15側へ付勢するスプリング20を収納
する。而して、ケーシング16、ピストン17、連結部
材18、スプリング20によりドアフレーム保持装置2
1を形成する。
