Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily form the artificial lumber of desired length by supplying a metallic pipe between plural pieces of rollers on which many projections are provided projectingly and forming a rugged pattern on the surface, thereafter, coloring it in a wooden skin color. CONSTITUTION:In the lower part, two pieces of rollers 1, 2 are arranged and in the upper part between both the rollers 1, 2, one piece of roller 3 is arranged. On the surface of each roller 1-3, many projections 11, 21 and 31 for forming a wooden skin-like rugged pattern are provided projectingly and discontinuously. Between the rollers 1-2, and 3, a metallic pipe such as a steel pipe or an aluminum pipe is allowed to pass through, and on the surface of the pipe 4, a wooden skin-like rugged pattern 41 is formed. This surface is painted in a wooden skin color, and target artificial lumber is obtained. Since many rugged patterns 41 are formed in a discontinuous state on the surface of the pipe 4, the adhesive property of paints is satisfactory, a coating film is scarcely peeled off, and the durability is improved. The obtained artificial lumber is used for a shelf and machine parts, etc.

Conventionally, sidewalk fences installed along sidewalks are generally constructed using supports, horizontal pipes, or rail materials made of steel pipes or steel plates whose surfaces are painted white or the like. Such sidewalk fences do not match the surrounding environment, especially when installed in mountainous areas, and are not desirable in terms of environmental conservation.

[#Problems to be Solved by Ming] In the pseudo wood disclosed in the above-mentioned prior art (■), the surface of the core material remains straight and the coating debris is formed on the surface, so that the coating layer easily peels off. Further, in order to form a wood skin-like uneven pattern on the surface of the coating waste, it is necessary to form the coating waste considerably thickly.

In order to form such a thick coating layer and uneven pattern, a mold is required, and the molding equipment becomes large and equipment costs are extremely high, and the length of the simulated wood is inevitably limited. Put it away. Further, due to the difference in coefficient of thermal expansion between the core material and the coating layer, cracks are likely to occur in the coating waste, resulting in poor durability.

The artificial wood of conventional technology ■ is made of weather-resistant steel, and the color change due to oxidation of the material itself produces the wood skin color, but it is difficult to produce the natural color of the wood skin using only such oxidation color. Yes, it has low commercial value. Further, there are problems such as the color tone changes as oxidation progresses and the strength of the material itself gradually decreases.

The present invention provides a metal tube between a plurality of rollers each having a large number of protrusions discontinuously protruding from the surface for forming a wood texture pattern, and also drives the rollers so that the protrusions form a metal tube. After forming a wood texture pattern on the surface of the pipe,
This method is characterized in that the surface of a metal tube is colored to resemble wood to produce pseudo-wood.

Next, by painting the surface of the tube 4 having the above-mentioned wood texture pattern 41 in a wood texture color (mainly brown), the desired pseudo-wood 5 is obtained (see FIG. 3). 42 is a coating film. During this painting, a large number of discontinuous wood grain-like uneven patterns 41 are directly formed on the surface of the tube 4, so the paint has good adhesion, the paint film 42 is difficult to peel off, and durability is improved. Therefore, it is sufficient to apply paints using known paints and by known painting methods, but in particular, after pretreatment, adding cement or gypsum to the acrylic or epoxy paints and applying hardeners in powder form. If a method of overcoating with a synthetic paint made by mixing is adopted, a fine uneven pattern made of particles of the cement, etc. mentioned above can be formed on the surface of the paint film, and the gloss and smoothness of the surface can be suppressed. Due to the synergistic effect of the overall wood texture pattern 41 and the fine surface pattern, it is possible to create a simulated wood that is closer to natural wood, thereby greatly increasing the commercial value.

As described above, the method of the present invention uses a plurality of rollers with protrusions to directly form a large number of wood texture uneven patterns on the surface of a metal tube, and then colors the surface in a wood texture color. The synergistic effect of the uneven pattern and the coloring makes it possible to create pseudo-wood that is extremely close to natural wood and has high commercial value. Further, according to this method, a wood texture pattern can be easily formed using existing pipe rolling or forming equipment, and equipment costs can be reduced. Moreover, even long pieces can be easily continuously molded, improving mass productivity and significantly reducing costs. In addition, since a large number of wood grain-like uneven patterns are formed directly on the surface of the metal pipe, the paint adheres better when painting that surface, and the coating film is thinner than when conventional plastic coating scraps are provided. This allows you to move around the highly durable simulated wood without the paint peeling off or cracking.
