Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it into very economic and safety and simultaneously yet better in appearance by making it so as to be lifted and circulated along the specified travel ing route in the following procedures that the upper part of each footstep is operated by an upper guide member via an engaging member and the lower part of each foot step is operated by a lower guide member, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A lot of footsteps 5 being free of spirally lifting movement along a tubular wall surface 4 are connected in an endless manner. A body part 6 of this footstep 5 is made up into an inverse semicylindrical form. In the lower part of each of symmetrical side, there is provided with a guide roller 8 which is guided by a lower guide rail 7 set up along a traveling route of the footsteps 5, while in the longitu dinal position of an upper part of each side, there is provided with an engaging pin 10 being free of engagement with a driving chain 9, respectively/ Since the footsteps 5 continuously circulates and travels between a lower floor 2 and an upper floor 3 along the traveling route by drive of the driving chain 9, both up and down functions can be combined with the same escalator unit. In addition, the driving chain 9 guiding the footsteps 5 can be set up in a lowermost part of a handrail side wall part, namely, in the more lower part than a top face of the footstep 5 at all times.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a lower floor (for example, a - floor) in which a large number of steps 5, which can be moved up and down, are connected in an endless manner to form a lower floor (for example, a - floor). The main body part 6 of this step stool 5 (hereinafter referred to as the step main body) is a second
As shown in Figures 5 to 5, it is configured in an inverted cylindrical shape (a half-cylindrical shape upside down), and is arranged at the bottom of each left and right side along the movement path of the step stool 5. A guide roller 8 is guided by a lower guide rail (lower guide member) 7, and a drive chain (upper guide member) 9 is attached to a drive chain (upper guide member) 9 at the front and rear positions at the top of each side (front and rear positions along the movement route). Engagement pins (engagement members) 10 that can be engaged and detached are provided respectively. The drive chain 9 is guided on a support guide 11, and the drive chain 9 has holes in which the engagement pins 10 can be inserted at positions corresponding to the engagement pins 10 provided on each step 5. Engagement plate bodies 12 each having a portion 12a are provided. In the engagement pin 10, a pair of left and right front engagement pins IOA and a pair of left and right rear engagement pins IOB are selectively outputted to the hole 12a on the drive chain 9 side via a switching means. It is configured so that it can be retracted and disengaged. That is, the rear end portions of the pair of front and rear engagement pins IOA on each side are each connected to a connecting rod 16 whose intermediate portion is pivotally supported by a support pin 15.
and are connected to each other via a connecting pin 17, so that if one engaging pin IOA protrudes, the other engaging pin IOA is sure to protrude.
OBs are allowed to move in and out. Further, inside the step body 6, a switching rod 19 is swingably supported in a substantially vertical plane (slightly inclined) through a support pin 18 and in the left-right direction. A pair of left and right engagement pins IOA on the upper and lower parts of the front part (or the rear part) are connected to each other via a link 20 and directly via an elongated hole 21. The lower end of the switching rod 19 is connected to the step body 6.
A guide roller 22 is attached and protrudes from the bottom of the step board 5, and a switching guide rail 23 for guiding the guide roller 22 along the movement path of the step platform 5 is also provided. This switching guide rail 23 is changed at the top and bottom horizontal portions of the movement path. Although not shown, a spring member is provided for always pressing the guide roller 23 against the switching guide rail 23 side. Of course, the switching guide rail 23
may be formed into a groove shape, and the guide roller 22 may be guided within the groove. That is, as shown in FIG. 2, when the step stool 5 is raised, the front engaging pin IOA protrudes and is engaged with the chain 9 and is driven, and the step step 5
When lowering, the rear engagement pin 10B protrudes and is engaged with the drive chain 9 to be driven. In FIG. 2, black circles indicate the engaged pins 10. Therefore, according to this method of engagement, the step stool 5
The drive chain 9 is always connected to the drive chain 9.
This means that it is performed closer to the Although not shown, a spring member is provided for always pressing the guide roller 23 against the switching guide rail 23 side.

Furthermore, in the horizontal portion of the movement route, the step body 6 is configured to pass below the floor surface 24, and
This section is designed for people to get on and off the train. Of course, the handrail 25 is driven by a motor in synchronization with the step stool 5, and is designed to go below the floor surface 24 at the part where people get on and off.

According to the above configuration, by driving the drive chain 9,
Since the step stool 5 continuously circulates along its movement path, that is, between the lower floor 2 and the upper floor 3, the same escalator device can have both an ascending function and a descending function. Furthermore, the engagement between the step stool 5 and the drive chain 9 is as follows.
When ascending, it is carried out by the front engagement pin IOA, and when descending, it is carried out by the rear engagement pin IOB.
Therefore, the drive chain 9 that guides the step stool 5 can always be placed at the lowest part of the handrail side wall, that is, below the top surface of the step stool 5. Therefore, the entire handrail side wall exposed to the outside can be easily decorated. Since it can be covered with a board, it is safe and looks good. Furthermore, since the engagement distance of the drive chain 9 of the step stool 5 with respect to the moving surface is the same both when ascending and descending, it is possible to prevent a gap from forming between the step platform 5 and the dirt.

Therefore, as shown in FIG. 6, when the step 5 reaches a predetermined horizontal position, the pushing device 31 moves in accordance with the moving speed of the step 5, and one of the pushing devices 31 engaged with the drive chain 9 moves. Push the engagement pin IOA into the inside of the step body 6. Then, the other engagement pin IOB protrudes and engages with the drive chain 9, and the engagement position of the step stool 5 with the drive chain 9 is switched. Of course, when the pushing of one engagement pin IOA is finished, the pushing device 31 returns to its original position and is ready for the next switching of the step stool 5.

That is, as shown in FIG. 7, a swinging lever 35 is provided on each side of the step body 6 to be swingable in a vertical plane, and is capable of opening and closing the opening and retracting hole 6a of the engagement pin 10. Similarly, on the lower side thereof, there is provided a lifting rod 37 whose upper end abuts the lower surface of the swing lever 35 and a guide roller 36 is attached to the lower end. A locking rail 38 for raising and lowering the lifting rod 37 is provided. Therefore, the engagement pin l
At the switching point O, the swinging lever 35 on the protruding side is swung upward to open the egress/retreat hole 6a. Further, the retraction hole 6a of the retracted engagement pin IG is closed by the swinging lever 35 swinging downward due to the lowering movement of the elevating rod 37.
