Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable waterproof and contamination-preventive treatment to be performed simply without damaging the exterior appearance and feelings of lumber by infiltrating into the inside of lumber silicone oligomer of low molecular weight, and thereafter, forming a water repellent silicone resin film of high molecular weight on the surface. CONSTITUTION:The inside of lumber 1 is infiltrated with silicon oligomer 2 of low molecular weight and, after the infiltration treatment, a silicon resin film 3 of high molecular weight is formed by application onto the surface of the lumber 1. The silicon oligomer 2 and silicon resin film 3 are used by being solved in a petroleum solvent for improving the infiltrating ability. In this manner, without producing cracks of the coated film, or even the silicon resin film on the surface wears partially by time-lapsed change, the waterproofness and contamination prevention can be maintained by the silicon oligomer infiltrated into the inside thereof. And, the treatment can also be effected readily without damaging the exterior appearance and feelings of the lumber.

このようにして木材1を処理すると、前記シリコン樹脂
被膜3が撥水性で、汚染防止性能ををするので、表面に

ことが出来る。シリコン樹脂被膜3は、薄膜であって基
材追従性即ち前記木材1の表面に良く染じむ性質を有す
るので、割れや剥離現象が生じない。前記低分子量のシ
リコン系オリゴマー2は、水分や水溶性汚染物質の内部
への浸透を防止する作用を発揮するので、このシリコン
系オリゴマー2が木材1の奥深く迄含浸しておらず、比
較的表層に近い部分に留まっている場合にも、前記水分
や水溶性汚染物質等の奥部への浸透を確実に防止するこ
とが出来る。このシリコン系オリゴマー2の含浸処理と
共に、防腐剤の含浸処理も行えばより一層の耐朽性の向
上を図ることが出来る。

かも腐朽も全く見い出せないと云う試験結果が得られた

の割れが生じることなく、経年変化で表面のシリコン樹
脂被膜が部分的に摩滅しても、内部に含浸させたシリコ
ン系オリゴマーにより防水及び汚染防止を十分保持する
ことが出来、処理も木材の外観や風合いを損なわずに簡
単に出来る等の優れた効果を奏する。また、同時に防腐
剤の含浸処理を行うことにより、木材の耐朽性を向上さ
せることが出来る。
