【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 交流電源の出力を整流する整流器と、前記
整流器の出力を高周波電圧に変換する出力トラン
ス付きのインバータ回路と、前記インバータ回路
の出力トランスの2次側に設けられた高電圧出力
巻線の一端と放電灯の一方の電極との間に設けら
れたスイツチ回路と、前記交流電源の投入時から
一定の時限が経過したときに前記スイツチ回路の
スイツチ素子を閉じるスイツチ制御回路とを備え
、前記高電圧出力巻線の出力電圧が前記スイツチ
回路を通して放電灯に印加される放電灯点灯装置
において、 前記放電灯に対して並列にインピーダンス素子
が接続され、 前記スイツチ制御回路は、前記スイツチ素子の
両端の電圧により時限動作を行つて該スイツチ素
子の両端に電圧が現れてから一定の時限が経過し
たときに前記スイツチ素子にトリガ信号を与える
回路からなつていることを特徴とする放電灯点灯
装置。 (2) 前記スイツチ制御回路は、前記スイツチ素
子の両端の電圧を低減する電圧低減回路と該電圧
低減回路の出力で限流素子を介して充電されるコ
ンデンサとを有して該コンデンサの両端の電圧が
所定値に達したときに前記スイツチ素子にトリガ
信号を与える回路からなつている請求項1に記載
の放電灯点灯装置。 (3) 前記インピーダンス素子のインピーダンス
は前記放電灯の低温低湿度時のインピーダンスよ
り低く設定されている請求項1または2に記載の
放電灯点灯装置。 (4) 前記インピーダンス素子はコンデンサまた

いずれか1つに記載の放電灯点灯装置。 (5) 前記スイツチ回路は前記スイツチ素子とし
てのサイリスタと、4個のダイオードをブリツジ
接続したダイオードブリツジ整流回路とからなり
