Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a filter for tobacco smoke capable of selectively absorbing and removing nicotine contained in smoke of tobacco without impairing original taste of tobacco by adding cellulase acid to the filter for tobacco smoke. CONSTITUTION:A cellulase derived from Trichoderma viridae or Aspergillus niger is added to a filter for tobacco smoke by impregnating or spraying an aqueous solution or a suspension of said cellulase to a filter tow or filter paper, etc., or adding powder of the cellulase thereto. Cellulase is preferably added to the filter at an amount of 10-100wt.% per filter. Thereby a filter for tobacco smoke having selective absorbing ability of nicotine can be produced, because cellulase has excellent ability capable of selectively absorbing nicotine contained in tobacco smoke.

[Prior Art] Recent trends in cigarette consumption indicate that products with a light taste, low amounts of nicotine and tar, and a mild feel are preferred. In order to meet such consumer demands, various improvements have been made to cellulose acetate filters and paper filters that are currently widely used. A simple example is one that attempts to increase the filtration rate of nicotine tar by making the length of the filter longer than conventional products. Furthermore, in the case of cellulose acetate filters, measures have been taken to increase the filtration rate of nicotine tar by making the fibers finer in denier and developing various types of irregular cross-sections.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] As the debate on smoking and health issues increases, it is expected that the aforementioned trend toward milder smoking will continue, but uniformly filtering nicotine tar as in the past would result in poor smoke quality. There is a problem that the smoke volume cannot be satisfied. In order to achieve a satisfactory smoking taste and smoke volume, it is necessary to control the ratio of the amount of nicotine to the amount of tar in the smoke (hereinafter referred to as N/T) to a desired value. It is possible to adjust the N/T in smoke by changing the cigarette paper or using tobacco substitutes. However, these methods have problems.

In other words, there are constraints on the cost of new leaves, the availability of leaves, etc. Furthermore, to date, there are no tobacco substitutes that are acceptable in terms of taste and are not yet at the stage of practical use.

In order to overcome these problems, research is being carried out on filter additives that change the nitrogen content in smoke, that is, filter additives that selectively adsorb and remove nicotine or tar in smoke. There is still no such thing that has been put into practical use.

[Means for Solving the Problem] In view of the above circumstances, the present inventors have developed a substance that selectively adsorbs nicotine or tar in smoke, or a substance that adsorbs nicotine and tar well, or a substance that adsorbs nicotine and tar well, or As a result of intensive study and research to find substances with different adsorption abilities, we found that cellulase has an extremely high ability to adsorb nicotine and tar in cigarette smoke, and also shows selectivity for nicotine adsorption. They discovered this and completed the present invention.

It is generally preferable to manufacture the filter structure in the form of a dual structure or a triple structure in order to prevent cellulase from flowing into the oral cavity during cigarette smoking. When used in a dual structure, one part of the filter is sprinkled with cellulase powder, or a part to which a cellulase aqueous solution or suspension is added by impregnation or spraying is connected to a part not containing cellulase.

When used in a triple structure, a portion of the filter may contain cellulase, either by directly placing cellulase powder between the filters, by sprinkling cellulase powder onto the filter, or by impregnating or spraying a cellulase aqueous solution or cellulase suspension. It is used in a structure where it is sandwiched between parts that do not contain it.

The amount of cellulase added varies depending on the tobacco leaf composition and the filter material, but is preferably 10 to 100% by weight (ratio of cellulase weight to the weight of the filter material) per tobacco smoke filter. If the amount of cellulase added is less than 10% by weight, the nicotine and sulfur removal effect will be too small; If it exceeds 6,
The problem arises in terms of flavor.

The nicotine and tar filtration rate is determined by the amount of nicotine and tar attached to the filter (TN and TT, respectively) after smoking, and the amount of nicotine and tar attached to the Kenburi Soji filter for collecting smoke components of the smoker. (C and C1, respectively) were measured, and the filtration rate of each filter body was determined using the formula below.

The filter chip is made of crimped cellulose diacetate tow with a single fiber fineness of 33 denier, a Y-shaped cross section, and a total fineness of 46,000 denier, to which 6% by weight of triacetin is attached, a circumference of 24.4 mm, a length of 84 non, and ventilation resistance. A cigarette filter rod of 300 mi + H20 was wound up and cut into 17-inch filter chips, which were then connected to a tobacco ring portion obtained by cutting out part of the filter from a commercially available cigarette "Cherry" (manufactured by Japan Tobacco Inc.). , Comparative Example 1 sample.

The same filter chip used for the comparison sample above was cut into lengths of 12 mm and 5 mm, and a cellulase aqueous suspension with a concentration of 15% by weight was added to the 12 m++ filter chip, depending on the amount of cellulase added to the filter chip. Add it with a syringe to make it 30% by weight based on the tow weight in the chip, then vacuum dry at room temperature (20-25℃), and
It was created by connecting it to the m+++ filter chip. Next, this filter chip was connected to the tobacco ring of "Cherry" in the same manner as in Comparative Example 1 to obtain an Example 1 sample.
