Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the important parts of dust collector from being broken by detachably mounting a filter having numerous vent holes to the open end of duct side. CONSTITUTION:The filter 13 is held to a hood 11 by a flange 14 provided at the open end on duct side of a hood 11 and projections 15. The filter 13 is formed in a disk type sintered plate 17 of aluminium alloy having numerous draft openings 16 and has a pair of confronting notches 18 in the outer periphery. The top end part of the hood 11 is approached to a welding location to be attracted together with the dust generated by the welding work. The fine dust passes through the vent holes 16 of the filter 13 provided to the open end of the side of the duct 12 for the hood 11, and is collected by the filter in a dust collecting part through the inside of the duct 12. By this method, the cost of utilizing the dust collector is reduced.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Conventionally, this type of dust collector has been used to capture and remove dust generated during arc welding and plasma cutting operations of metal materials. FIG. 5 shows a schematic configuration of such a dust collector, which includes a hood 1 that serves as an inlet for air containing dust, a flexible duct 2 that allows the hood 1 to be freely brought close to the dust generating location, and inhales the dust. It is comprised of a dust removing section 3 that removes dust from the inhaled dusty atmosphere, and a fan 4 that forcibly creates a flow of air in order to suck in the dusty atmosphere and discharge the air after dust removal. The removal section 3 includes a filter 5 made of a coarse wire mesh to capture relatively large dust, and a filter 5 made of a coarse wire mesh to almost completely capture small dust passing through the mesh. The filter 6 is made of a very fine filter material such as glass fiber. Further, the dust collector hood 1 is formed into a conical shape or a flat nozzle shape, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, so that dust can be efficiently collected depending on the dust collection location.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in arc welding of metal materials such as iron, a large amount of large, high-temperature spatter is generated along with dust, and in plasma cutting, the high-temperature cut molten metal is A large amount is generated along with the generated dust. Therefore, if the dust generated by these operations is collected using a dust collector, spatter and cut molten metal will also be sucked in at the same time. For this reason, expensive flame-retardant or non-combustible materials are used for the duct 2 and filter 6 to prevent burnout caused by high-temperature spatter and cut molten metal. However, there is a problem in that the running cost due to replacement of the filter 6 and the like increases.

Therefore, in order to solve this problem, methods have been proposed in the past, such as using metal ducts or using electric dust collection methods instead of filters and using metal dust collection electrodes. In the former case, the flexibility of the duct is insufficient, making it difficult to freely approach the dust collection hood to the dust generating area, and in the latter case, a cleaning process is required to clean the dust collection electrode after collecting dust. , there was a problem that maintenance became troublesome.

Next, the operation of the above embodiment will be explained. A dust collector equipped with such a hood 11 is placed at a welding or cutting site, and the tip of the hood 11 is brought close to the welding or cutting site to suck out spatter and cut molten metal along with the dust generated by those operations. do. Fine dust is removed by a filter 1 installed at the open end of the hood 11 on the duct 12 side.
The dust passes through the ventilation hole 16 of No. 3, passes through the duct 12, and is captured by a filter in a dust collecting section (not shown). Large, high-temperature spatter generated during welding operations and high-temperature cutting molten metal generated during cutting operations are captured by the filter 13, and the filters and ducts are prevented from being burnt out due to suction. Repeated use filter 1
If the ventilation hole 16 of No. 3 becomes clogged and it becomes difficult to suction the dust-containing atmosphere, rotate the filter 13, align its notch 18 with the protrusion 15, remove it from the hood 11, and replace it with a new one. .

If it is less than that, the button will become severely clogged during actual use, and the filter will have to be replaced frequently, reducing the operating rate of the dust collector, resulting in poor usage efficiency. On the other hand, if the diameter is 1,000 μm or more, it becomes impossible to capture the spatter and cut molten metal sucked together with the dust.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above embodiments, according to the present invention, a filter made of a metal material or an inorganic material having a large number of ventilation holes is detachably attached to the duct-side opening end of a dust collector hood. This filter can capture large, high-temperature spatter generated during welding work and high-temperature cut molten metal generated during cutting work, and prevents burnout of the filter and ducts caused by suction of these spatters. can. Furthermore, since the ducts and filters do not need to be made of highly flame-retardant or non-combustible materials, the cost of using the dust collector can be reduced. Furthermore, it becomes easier for welding or cutting workers to use the dust collector, and the effect of preventing dust damage can be improved.
