``Prior art'' Fire-powered dryers are usually used for drying in this type of facility. For example, in the case of drying paddy, a large amount of paddy with high moisture content (about 24% moisture) is received, so drying is necessary. Primary (
The paddy is separated into two stages: drying (up to a moisture level of around 17%) and secondary drying (up to a finishing moisture level of around 14.5%), and after the primary drying is completed, the paddy is temporarily stored in a silo until all of the paddy is received.
When all of the paddy has almost been received, secondary drying is performed to maintain the quality of the paddy and improve the processing capacity of the facility.

``Problems to be Solved by the Invention'' However, in the case of the heating type using a fire-powered dryer as described above, drying is difficult and the drying is forced to be done at a relatively high temperature, resulting in overdrying, which can lead to shell cracking. Not only does it have drawbacks that cause quality deterioration, such as drying and deterioration of flavor, but the silo used to temporarily store semi-dry paddy after primary drying requires a large storage capacity, making the entire facility larger. There were drawbacks.

``Function'' According to the present invention, the grain is dried at a constant room temperature (similar to natural drying with dry air at 2 degrees Celsius) without heating the grain, so there is no quality deterioration and safe operation is possible. Moreover, by static drying, it is possible to reduce the need for grain conveyance systems, improve durability and reduce costs. Also, by making it possible to temporarily store semi-dry grains in the drying equipment, The processing capacity of this facility can be improved by increasing the storage amount of semi-dry grain while maintaining a constant storage amount in the silo that temporarily stores semi-dry grain.

This embodiment is constructed as described above, and the paddy in each bin room (9a) is reserved by constant humidity air from the generator (58) during storage in the storage bin (9). Drying is carried out, and in this case, by using room temperature and constant humidity air, the air in the bottle room (9a) is not heated, moisture is removed from the air, and dry air with a constant humidity is sent to increase the amount of paddy. By naturally drying the material to an equilibrium water content with almost no difference in water content, the work efficiency in the dryer (4) in the subsequent process is improved.

Even when drying in the dryer (14), dry air at room temperature and constant humidity can dry the paddy in a state close to natural drying without heating it, which reduces aroma and flavor. It also enables drying that maintains high quality without overdrying or cracking grains. Also, by using such a normal temperature and constant humidity dryer (14), it is possible to dry on low humidity days (weatherless). On a good day), the dryer (14) takes full advantage of the energy in the atmosphere.
It is possible to improve the operating efficiency and save energy, and since no thermal power is used during drying, safe operation can be achieved without worrying about fire or strange odors. Furthermore, the dryer (
14) is a stationary type and does not move the paddy during drying, so it is possible to reduce the number of conveyors, etc., making maintenance inspection and cleaning easier, and improving the durability of the dryer (14). be able to.
