近傍にプラグホールが配置されるとともに、該プ
ラグホールの両サイドに夫々シリンダヘツドの長
手方向に伸長するカム軸を軸承するカム軸受部が
配置され、かつウオータジヤケツト上壁より上側
に上記カム軸受部に連結されるとともにプラグホ
ールをはさんでシリンダヘツドの長手方向に伸長
する２条の補強壁が設けられたＤＯＨＣエンジン
において、 シリンダヘツドの長手方向にみてボアセンタ間
では補強壁の下端部を上記ウオータジヤケツト上
壁と離間させるとともに、ボアセンタ間のヘツド
ボルトボス近傍において補強壁とウオータジヤケ
ツト上壁とを連結する縦壁を設けたことを特徴と
