Ducts made of thin metal plates with a constant diameter are indispensable as air conditioning piping materials in buildings.
Spiral ducts make up the majority of them. As is well known, these conventional spiral ducts are formed into a cylindrical body by spirally winding a thin metal plate of a certain width, and the cylindrical body is bent like a corrugate in order to maintain its strength. . However, with conventional spiral ducts, the manufactured duct itself is the same length as the final use length or has a certain standard length, so the volume occupied in the product space is large, and it can be transported from the factory by one vehicle. The amount that could be transported to the construction site was small, and it was similar to transporting air.
Furthermore, since the strength of the spiral duct itself is weak, deformation often occurs during transportation.

Next, to describe a specific configuration for achieving the above object, the edges of thin metal plates of a predetermined width are joined together.
In the spiral duct a which is spirally wound to form a cylindrical body, several corrugated ribs 2...2 are formed at intermediate positions between the adjacent joints 1 and 1, and these The corrugated ribs 2...2 are brought into close contact with each other so that they can be expanded and contracted, and when the corrugated ribs 2...2 are brought into close contact with each other, the inner and outer tips of these corrugated ribs 2...2 are bent, and the bent tips are bent. The spiral duct is formed into a substantially linear shape, and the opposing wall surface portions of the side wall surface portions of the corrugated ribs 2...2 are brought into close contact with each other, so that virtually no space is formed in the corrugated rib portion.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Generally speaking, the duct body shown in (a) is formed into a cylindrical body by forming thin metal plates of a predetermined width (for example, 60 m/m width) by joining the edges together. Several corrugated ribs on the part 2
After forming the corrugated ribs 2...2 into a spiral shape, the corrugated ribs 2...2 are brought into close contact with each other so as to be able to expand and contract, and the inner and outer tips of the corrugated ribs 2...2 are bent so that the bent tips are approximately The corrugated ribs 2...2 are made to have a linear shape, and the opposing wall surface portions of the side wall surface portions of the corrugated ribs 2...2 are brought into close contact with each other so that no space is formed in the corrugated rib portion, and the length is minimized in the longitudinal direction. It is a spiral duct made of water. And 1
Reference numerals 1...11 are pressure marks formed on the first part of the joint 1, and are used to more firmly maintain the connection and integration of the metal thin plates that have been joined 1. The corrugated ribs 2...2 can be made closer together by forming the ribs 2...2 in close proximity at the same time when forming the spiral duct, or by compressing the entire duct after forming the ribs 2...2 at a predetermined interval. Both the ribs 2...2 can be brought into close contact with each other while being shortened. In any case, when the spiral duct of the present invention is transported, for example, from a factory to a construction site by vehicle, etc., it is transported in a contracted state to the minimum length in the longitudinal direction. It will be used after being stretched to the desired length.

When the spiral duct is contracted, the inner and outer tips of the corrugated ribs 2...2 are bent and contracted so that the bent tips become almost linear. The opposing wall surfaces of the side wall surface portions of the shaped ribs 2...2 must be in close contact with each other so as to form virtually no space.

As mentioned above, the present invention forms corrugated ribs 2...2 when forming the spiral duct body a, and the ribs 2...2 are arranged so that they are in close contact with each other, so that a single spiral duct can be used instead of the conventional spiral duct. If the product is 4m long, it can be reduced to about one third of the length, making it possible to make the finished product's capacity extremely compact. For transportation, it is now possible to load more than three times as much into a single vehicle as before, significantly reducing transportation costs. In addition, by reducing the size of the duct body a, most of the outer circumferential surface of the duct becomes ribs 2...2 that are closely connected, so its strength is extremely high, and the duct is not damaged by shock during transportation. There is. In addition, the duct body a, which has been reduced in size to the state shown in Figure 1 due to the close contact between the ribs 2...2, can be easily released from the close contact between the ribs 2...2 by pulling it in both directions at the construction site, as shown in Figures 3 and 2. Its length can be extended as shown in FIG. 4, and it can be used in the same way as a conventional duct. Furthermore, according to the present invention, it is extremely easy to curve the duct body a in the length direction, and by adjusting the degree of elongation, the spacing between the ribs 2...2, that is, the pitch can be changed. In conventional ducts, excess length was cut off at the construction site, but in the case of this invention, the ribs 2...2 control the elongation between each other to prevent the occurrence of cut-off parts, and so on. It has many features not available with ducts.
