報に示されたように、仕上げ圧延機側に設けられた仕上
げ幅計によりストリップの実幅を検出し、その検出値に
もとづいて開度調整を行う等の方法が知られている。

疵が発生することになり、これが製造作業の障害となる
他、コンベヤ・クレーンでの搬送中または次工程での処
理中に、更に耳折れ、耳疵を発生し、成品歩留まりの低
下を招くことになる。しかし先に説明したように、従来
のオペレーターの視覚に依存した調整法、或いは仕上げ
圧延機出側の幅計実測値による調整法では必ずしも適正
な調整が達戒されないという問題があった。

の回転量を演算装置で比較し、これに基づく開度制御装
置の指令によって前記両回転計の検出回転量が概ね等し
くなるようにサイドガイド本体の開度を調整することと
しているのである。

損耗に起因する耳朧の発生、殿送中の耳折れ、耳疵の発
生等の危惧が全くなく、巻姿の良好なコイルを生産する
ことができ、或品歩留りの向上が期待できる。
