Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the preservation properties and vermin-proof properties for grain by a method wherein rain is placed in a bag which is formed by a material for which a scaly shaped inorganic additive is added to polyethylene, and the bag is packaged by a vacuum packaging machine or after placing a deoxidation agent in the bag. CONSTITUTION:A bag of a material for which a scaly shaped inorganic additive is added to polyethylene is prepared. As the inorganic additive, mica, corpuscle titanium oxide or iron powder, etc. is used. Then, grain is placed in the formed bag, and the bag is packaged by a vacuum packaging machine, or grain is packaged by the bag after placing a deoxidation agent in the bag. Therefore, the bag has a slight air permeability, and the grain is packaged under a breathable condition. By this method, a quantity of residual oxygen, which is one of the conditions to hatch eggs of vermin becomes smaller, and the eggs are prevented from being hatched, and at the same time, entering of vermin from the outside is stopped.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention relates to a method for packaging grains that can improve the shelf life of grains and exhibit insect repellent effects. (Prior Art) Conventionally, as a method of packaging grains, grains are placed in bags made of synthetic resin with a large number of holes drilled in advance for breathability, and the bags are sold on store shelves. However, especially in rice, pests such as grain insects lay their eggs on raw rice.
Even when processed into polished rice, the eggs cannot be completely removed. The eggs hatch and emerge as pests from inside the bag, or pests enter through the small holes, causing feeding damage. For this reason, vacuum packaging has been used in recent years. In this method, grains are first placed in a bag made of non-breathable material and then placed in a vacuum packaging machine for vacuum packaging, or an oxygen absorber is placed in the bag and vacuum packed. Note that laminate, aluminum laminate, nylon laminate, etc. are used as the material for this bag body.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) When the vacuum-packed grain is sealed, it is kept in a state where it cannot breathe because there is no air permeability during the packaging.

When the package is opened, the grains rapidly let in and out moisture and air. As a result, the taste deteriorates rapidly, the color becomes black and the quality of the rice deteriorates easily, and the rice in particular suffers from cracking, resulting in severe deterioration of the quality of the rice. Generally, the quality begins to deteriorate rapidly after three days after opening the package. Furthermore, with ordinary laminates, ultraviolet rays penetrate into the grains, making them susceptible to sunburn, that is, the color of the grains turning black. Furthermore, since this laminate material is expensive, there are problems such as high packaging costs for grains.

However, even if polyethylene bags are used for vacuum packaging, the gaps between polyethylene molecules are large, so air can enter from the outside and the vacuum cannot be maintained. Conventionally, polyethylene bags were used for vacuum packaging. I could not do it.

(Means for Solving the Problem) This invention solves the above-mentioned problem, and when a scaly inorganic additive is added to polyethylene, the scaly inorganic additive is added to the gaps between the molecules of polyethylene. came in,
The present inventor focused on the fact that the gap narrows and maintains a degree of vacuum that does not lose its shape after packaging, and formed the bag using the material without making small holes for breathability. , a packaging method in which grains are placed in the bag and placed in a vacuum packaging machine, or an oxygen absorber is placed in the bag and then packaged. (Example) First, a bag made of polyethylene with a scaly inorganic additive added is prepared. As the inorganic additive, mica, fine titanium oxide, iron powder, etc. are used. In particular, this scaly mica has the property of reflecting light, and also has the property that the air permeability of polyethylene is reduced by mixing in about 5% of the scaly inorganic additive. In addition to the above characteristics, fine particle titanium oxide has a wavelength of 400X 10
- It has the property of blocking ultraviolet rays of less than 1000 m. This ultraviolet ray has the effect of accelerating the oxidation of grains and deteriorating their quality.

Next, the grains are placed in a bag made of the above materials. Either put it in a vacuum packaging machine, or put an oxygen absorber (such as Mitsubishi Gas's product name Koijiless) in the bag and package the grain.

Then, the bag has an air permeability that is about 1/10 lower than that of polyethylene, and the grain is packaged in a state where it can breathe. Therefore, in this state, the residual oxygen content, which is one of the conditions for hatching of pest eggs, is less than 2%, so the eggs do not hatch. Furthermore, since there are no small holes on the surface to provide ventilation, there is no possibility of pests entering from the outside. Furthermore, at this time, the packaged grains are held in a state in which the grains are pressed against each other in the bag body during vacuum, so the grains inside the bag body do not become smooth but remain clumped, making it difficult to carry or store in a stacked state. It is extremely easy to pack, and since it is packaged in a solid state, it looks smart and increases the product value. (Actions and Effects of the Invention) Since the present invention is accomplished as described above, it produces the effects described below. ■The surface has no small holes that allow insects to freely enter and exit, the material of the bag itself is highly breathable, and the grain is packaged in a way that allows it to breathe, which prevents pests from entering the bag from outside. There is no invasion at all, and eggs of pests attached to the milled rice do not hatch due to lack of oxygen, so there is no need to worry about pests coming from inside. As a result, the shelf life of grains is greatly improved, and the insect repellent effect is maintained over a long period of time. ■When the package is opened, unlike conventional vacuum packaging, where the grain stops breathing until the package is opened, the grain continues to breathe even during packaging, so there is no sudden start of breathing, and the quality of the product after opening is There is no sudden decrease in taste or taste. ■Since ultraviolet rays are blocked by the bag body, they do not penetrate into the grain, and the discoloration and deterioration of grain due to the sunburn phenomenon that previously occurred is extremely reduced.
