DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION This invention relates to disposable diapers, and more particularly to tape fastener devices used to provide better fit and reduce runoff leakage.

In the past, various types of diapers have been developed, such as box pleated or hourglass diapers, which use tape fasteners at the waist to secure the diaper to the infant. Although these types of diapers are designed to provide a better fit, due to the infant's movement and manipulation of the diaper, and due to differences in infant size, the diaper tends to loosen in at least some areas. This loosening may partially prevent the effluent fluid from reaching the absorbent pad, sometimes allowing leaks to flow out.

The concept of the present invention is to provide a separate tape fastener removably mounted on the diaper and used to secure it over the folds created in the loose parts of the diaper to increase the conformability and, in particular, to The fit is too loose to prevent gaps at the waist, eliminating leakage and reducing the appearance of the disposable diaper on the infant.

Tape fastener 12 includes a release sheet of any type that is permanently secured to either the upper sheet or the support sheet of other conventional diapers with a conventional absorbent pad disposed between the upper sheet and the support sheet.
