この際、洗濯胴の一端(入口側)から篩渣が投入される
と、その篩渣は自転する自転子により撹乱されて洗浄効
果が高められる.つまり、篩渣に付着した砂等の付着物
が自転子によるもみ洗い現象により効率よく剥離される
.そして、剥離された砂等の付着物と篩渣は、洗濯胴の
他端(出口側)から外胴内に移され、ここで水洗されて

すなわち、自転子を洗濯胴内に滞留させるためのスクリ
ーンの傾斜角は、洗濯胴における単位時間当りの処理量
を基に決められている.つまり、篩渣と剥Ilit物を
洗濯胴の出口側から排出でき、かつ自転子を洗濯胴内に
滞留できるように決められている.しかし、何らかの原
因で洗濯胴内に規定量以上の篩渣が供給されることがあ
る.この場合、スクリーンの傾斜角は、もはや自転子を
洗濯胴内に滞留させることができず、自転子は篩渣と共
に排出される.
また、排出された自転子は、篩渣脱水機に送られるが、
比重の大きな自転子が脱水機内に投入されると、脱水機
のバランスをくずし、脱水機を損傷させるおそれがあっ
た.
そこで、本発明は、上記問題点を解決するためになされ
たものて゛あって、その目自勺は、洗濯胴内に規定量以
上の篩渣が供給されても、洗濯胴内に自転子を確実に滞

れており、タイヤ2a,2bをそれぞれ2箇所で載置し
ている.
外胴1の中央の外周には、スプロケット5が設けられて
おり、図示しないモータによって駆動されるチェーンが
張設されている.また、外胴1の一端(右端)には中央
に開口6を有するとともに、内開に掻上げ羽根7を有す
る端板8が設けられている.またその他端〈左端》には
、内側に後述のスクリーンを囲むように配置された截頭
円錐状のスクリーンで形成された案内f!J9を有し、
外側に円筒状のスクリーンで形成された案内簡10と、
この案内筒10を囲むように配置された截頭円錐状の案
内WI11を有し、かつ中央に上記外胴1の開口6より
も大径の開口12を有する端板13が設けられている.
さらに、外胴1の内壁にはスクリュー羽根14が設けら
れているとともに、このスクリュー羽根の右半分には半
円状の板14a,14aが設けられている.
洗濯1rl20は、外胴lよりも小径で、かつ外胴1の
ほぼ半分の長さを有し、外I;ll内の右測に支持部材
21.21・・・によって固定されている.この洗濯1
rl20の一端(入口I¥IJ)には、上述の開口6と
ほぼ同一の直径の開口22を備えた端板23を有すると
ともに、他端(出口開)外測には截頭円錐状のスクリー
ン24が設けられている.そして、この洗濯胴20の内
部には、例えばゴムや金属などの比重1以上の材料で作
られた球状の自転子25が複数個内蔵されている.
外胴1の入口測及び出口側にそれぞれカバ−30.31
が設けられている.入口測カバ−30には篩渣供給口3

阻止部40は、この発明の要部をなすものであり、第2
図及び第3図に拡大して示してあるように、取付蓋32
から外FUlの軸心方向に延びる一対のパイプ41a,
4lbと、このパイプ内に伸縮自在に挿入された棒材4
2a.42bと、これら棒材の先端に設けられた阻止部
材43とを有している.なお、図中44a,44bは棒
材42a,42bに対する阻止部材43の取付を補強す
る補強部材であり、また、45.45・・・はパイプ4
1a,4lbに挿入された棒材42a,42bを固定す
るためのボルトである.
阻止部材43はスクリーン24の出口端部24゛の下部
円弧と中心を共通にする円弧に沿って延在する外周@4
3′を有し、外周端43′とスクリーン24の出口端部
24′との間に自転子25の直径よりも小さい間隙、つ
まり自転子25がスクリーン24から排出されない間隙
を形成する位置関係とされている.したがって、この間
隙となるようにパイブ41a,4lbが取付蓋32に位
置決めされて固定されるとともに、棒材42a,42b
の仲綿長さが決められる.
阻止部材43は、自転子25の通過を阻止し、かつ、篩
渣の通過を妨げない形状であることが必要であるととも
に、材料節減が可能な形状であることが望まれる.この
点を考慮すると、阻止部材43は第3図に示すような一
枚の切欠リング(円弧)状の板であってもよいし、第4
図に示すように、半径の異なる円弧状の複数枚の板43
a,43bを、自転子25の直径よりも小さい間隔をも
って連結板46a.46bで連結したものであってもよ
い.
このような阻止部材は棒材42a,42bの先端にこれ
と直交状態に取付けられる.次に、上記横成による動作
について説明する。
今、外胴1がスプロケット5に領設されたチェーンによ
って所定方向に回転される.このとき篩渣が篩渣供給口
32から回転する洗濯胴20の入口開に投入されると、
その投入された篩渣は自転子25により撹乱され、砂等
の付着物(以下、砂という)が効率よく剥離されて出口
側へ移動する.そして、砂はスクリーン24の目開きか
ら外胴1内へ落下するとともに、篩渣は阻止板43の外
周端43′とスクリーン24の出口端部24′との間隙
から案内筒9内へ排出される.なお、自転子25はスク
リーン24の傾斜により洗濯胴20内に滞留される.
このとき、篩渣供給口32から規定量以上の篩渣が投入
されて、自転子25かスクリーン24の出口端部24′
へ押し出された場合は、自転子25は阻止板43に受け
止められて洗濯胴20外へ排出されることはない(第2
図参照).
案内筒9に受け入れられた篩渣は、開口12を経て円筒
状スクリーン10へ移送される.ここで篩渣は洗浄水管
35から散布された水によって洗浄されたのち、篩渣排
出口37から図示しない脱水機へ送出されて脱水処理さ
れる.なお、円筒状スクリーン10で水切された洗浄排
水は、排水口36から図示しない汚水処理装置へ反送さ
れて処理される.外胴1内の砂はスクリュー羽根14に
よって実線矢印イに示される方向に、すなわち篩渣の供
給圓へ向って移動する.この移動の際、外胴1の一端開
に洗浄水管33から供給された洗浄水が外胴1の他端側
へ流れているので(第1図鎖線ロ参照)、砂と洗浄水は
向流接触して洗浄される.さらに、砂は板14aによっ
て撹乱されるので洗浄がより促進される洗浄された砂は
、掻上げ羽根7によって砂排出口34へ移送される.な
お、砂を洗浄した排水は、篩渣を洗浄した排水とともに
、排水口36から排出される.
以上のように、本実施例装置においては、スクリーン2
4の出口側に阻止部40を設けたので、篩渣の供給量が
規定以上であっても自転子25が洗濯胴20“゜から排
出することがない.したがって、排出された自転子によ
って脱水機が損傷されるという不都合は防止される.
なお、阻止部40の阻止板43を第4図に示すように分
割して設けたときは、間隙から過剰投入された篩渣を効
率よく排出できるので、異常投入に速やかに対処するこ
とができる.
また、阻止部材43(よ切欠リング状としたが完全なリ
ング状としてもよい,しかし、切欠リング状としたとき
