    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. プラテンと印字ヘツドの間に用紙を介在させ、
    前記プラテンと前記印字ヘツドの相互位置を変え
    ることによつて用紙厚を測定し、その結果にもと
    づいて、印字するときのプラテンと印字ヘツドの
    隙間を調整する用紙厚設定機構において、プラテ
    ンと印字ヘツドの関係位置を設定する際、用紙と
    印字ヘツドの間にあつて対向する両面の片面を前
    記用紙に接し他の片面を印字ヘツドに接し、前記
    設定後は用紙と印字ヘツドの間から退避するスペ
    ーサと、前記スペーサを移動させるアクチユエー
    タを有することを特徴とするプリンタの自動用紙
    厚設定機構。
