The optical fiber core wire 1, which has the coating 1a on the tip side removed to expose the optical fiber lb, is inserted into the ferrule 2 and fixed with adhesive, and is a single core such as D type or FC type based on the specified standard. It is used in optical connectors to optically connect optical fibers.

A hole through which the optical fiber core l is inserted is formed in the center of the main body 2b, which has a flange 2a formed on the outer periphery, from the proximal end surface 2c to the distal end surface 2d.
The dimensions of each company are determined based on a predetermined standard in order to correspond to the shape of the optical fiber core 1. That is, the inner diameter of the large diameter hole 2e, which opens at the base end surface 2c and into which the coated portion of the optical fiber core 1 is inserted, is 1.
mm, and the inner diameter of the guide hole 2f, which is formed concentrically with this large diameter hole 2e and guides the optical fiber core 1 to be inserted, is 0.5 mm.

The inner diameter of the insertion hole 2g into which the optical fiber 1b is inserted is 0.12.
It is 5mm.

Like the four-core tape core wire 3 shown, there is one in which four optical fiber core wires 4 each having a diameter of 0.25 mm are formed into a tape shape using a coating material 5, which is manufactured by coating an optical fiber having a diameter of 0.125 mm. .

。This tape core wire 3 can separate the optical fiber core wire 4 into individual core wires, and can be inserted into the above-described ferrule 2. As described above, the ferrule 2 has a large diameter hole 2e with an inner diameter of 1fffffl. Therefore, when a tape core wire 3 having a smaller diameter than the large diameter hole 2e is inserted into the ferrule 2, the tape core wire 3 is inserted into the large diameter hole 2e because the clearance between the tape core wire 3 and the inner surface of the large diameter hole 2e is large. There have been problems in handling the connector ferrule, such as eccentricity and lack of strength due to the small diameter of the tape core wire 3.

Since the pipe 12 is attached to the outer periphery, the ferrule 2 can be inserted into the center of the ferrule 2 without eccentricity. Furthermore, even if the thickness of the coating 11a is thin, the optical fiber core wire 11 is reinforced by the pipe 12 and has sufficient strength.

In addition, since at least a portion of the space between the pipe and the optical fiber core wire is filled with resin, the diameter of the optical fiber core wire is increased, and the optical fiber core wire can be inserted at the center position of the ferrule without eccentricity. Further, since the optical fiber core wire is reinforced by the pipe and given sufficient strength, even if it is small in diameter, it can be inserted into the ferrule 4° and used without worrying about strength.
