Claims (1)
電極および浸漬電極をそなえ、前記浸漬電極の下
端部を溶鋼に浸漬させ、前記加熱電極と溶鋼の間
に発生するアークにより溶鋼の加熱をおこなう溶
鋼のアーク加熱装置において、前記加熱電極と浸
漬電極を別個の昇降駆動装置により保持し、前記
浸漬電極に長手方向に貫通する孔を設け、この浸
漬電極の上部に、該浸漬電極の下端部において発
生したアーク光が前記孔を経て入射するようにア
ーク光検出器を配設し、このアーク光検出器の出
力信号を受けて前記アーク光が発生している間、
前記浸漬電極の昇降駆動装置に下降指令信号を発
する昇降制御装置を具備したことを特徴とする溶
