Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically wash the ink rollers of inking units and to use exclusive washing solutions by providing a plurality of washing solution supply means for supplying washing solutions different in properties and also providing a washing solution change-over valve to a pipe. CONSTITUTION:A washing solution for washing oily ink is supplied to a washing solution pipe 6. At this time, a solenoid valve V11 is opened and other solenoid valves V12, V13 are closed. After inking units 3, 4 are washed with the washing solution in a tank 101, in such a case that the ink used in the next printing is UV ink, the solenoid valve V13 is opened in such a state that the solenoid valves V11, V12 are closed and a suction pump 93 is operated. When the printing due to the UV ink is completed and the inking units 3, 4 are washed, the solenoid valves V11, V13 are closed while the solenoid valve V1 is opened to supply the washing solution exclusive to the UV ink to the washing solution pipe 6 from a tank 102.

(Question B that the invention seeks to solve) In recent years, the quality requirements for printing have become higher, and color density and gloss are strongly required.
Cured inks are increasingly being used. However, UV ink is more expensive than oil-based ink, and the plates require special treatment, so UV-only printing is limited to some types of printing. In machines, full color or partial unit UV printing is used due to quality and cost considerations. Oil-based ink and UV ink have completely different physical properties, and different cleaning solutions are used. In order to maintain sufficient cleaning ability, it is desirable to avoid mixing solvents as much as possible. For this reason, it is possible to install two automatic cleaning devices including nozzles, but apart from the tank unit, it is impossible to install two nozzles on the printing press, and in the case of one tank unit, It was necessary to either replace the liquid or give priority to the use of one or the other and limit its use. The present invention provides a practical, multi-purpose roller cleaning device that meets the various demands of such printing factories.

It is preferable to drain the cleaning liquid for oil-based ink remaining in the pipe (73). This is because the remaining cleaning liquid and the cleaning liquid dedicated to UV ink to be used next may mix, reducing the cleaning effect. Therefore, with the solenoid valves (V++) and (Lt) closed, open the solenoid valve (V+3) and operate the suction pump (9,) to drain the remaining cleaning liquid in the cleaning pipe (6) and pipe (73). Discharge into tank (loff).
