Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to replace aggregate chip and obtain a pavement in good waling feeling by making a chip layer consisting of aggregate chip a surface layer over a permeable pavement base substance, and making the aggregate chip not perform adhesive treatment to the pavement base substance. CONSTITUTION:Asphalt concrete 4 and the like is used as pavement on a road bed, gravel of 3mm in diameter is sprinkled on the surface of the same as aggregate chip in about 3kg/m<2>, and reformed with use of a rake so that the gravel may be filled up into surface gaps of the pavement base substance. Still more, gravel of 10mm in diameter is sprinkled over the same in a rate of about 5kg/m<2>, reformed in flat with the rake, and a chip layer 5 is formed. Also, harmony with the surrounding scene and a beautiful sight are concerned, artificially colored aggregate such as colored coated aggregate is used, and design for color and pattern is performed in compliance with TPO. Therewith, together with superior economy, good drain function is always maintained and daily maintenance operation can be also reduced.

(Prior Art) Gravel road pavement, in which single-grained pea gravel is thoroughly spread on the roadbed surface, has been known for paving approaches to shrines and temples, fenced paths in parks, etc. This gravel road pavement is preferred as a pavement with a natural feel that harmonizes with the surrounding landscape, and if it is properly maintained on a daily basis, it provides a comfortable walking sensation and good drainage, but the mutual binding force of pea gravel Because there is no gravel, the gravel moves a lot as people walk, and if this happens repeatedly, the road surface becomes exposed, impairing the aesthetics and sense of walking. Furthermore, during rainfall, the weakened subgrade soil tends to mix into the pea gravel layer, and the soil particles gradually fill the gaps in the pea gravel, resulting in a significant decline in drainage function. Therefore, in order to maintain a good walking sensation and drainage function, it is necessary to lay a thick layer of expensive pea gravel, which is not economical and requires careful daily maintenance, which requires a great deal of labor and expense. It cost. Moreover, the effort and cost required to replace and update the pea gravel layer is enormous.

On the other hand, as a pseudo-gravel road pavement that is relatively easy to maintain on a daily basis, there is known a resin pavement in which pea gravel or the like is fixed using a synthetic resin binder. This resin pavement is beautiful and requires almost no daily maintenance work, but since all the pea gravel is fixed to each other with a binder, the movement of the pea gravel is completely prevented (
The feeling of walking on a gravel road is different from that of a gravel road.
Since they are generally not permeable, they pose a problem when walking during rainy days and require new drainage facilities. In addition, among resin pavements, resin pavements have been devised in which the porosity of the pavement is increased and water permeability is imparted, but like ordinary resin pavements, the walking sensation is inferior, and the structure of the pavement Because the mechanical strength is lower than that of pavement, the pavement must be thicker.
It uses a large amount of expensive resin binder and pea gravel, making it less economical.

As the pavement base having water permeability, any pavement material such as asphalt concrete, cement concrete, or resin concrete can be used, but the water permeability coefficient is I
It is preferable to have a high water permeability of about 10" cm/see. Also, it is preferable that the surface of the pavement base is rough with unevenness. From this point of view, asphalt concrete is usually used because it is inexpensive and has excellent workability. It is paved on the roadbed. The aggregate chips may be natural aggregates, artificial aggregates, rubber particles, etc., as long as they meet the required standards, such as pea gravel, crushed stone, etc. In particular, when considering harmony with the surrounding landscape and aesthetics, artificial materials such as natural colored aggregates made from crushed limestone, silica stone, Akama stone, etc., colored resin-coated aggregates, colored porcelain aggregates etc. It is preferable to use colored or colored aggregate chips, such as colored aggregate. Also, consideration should be given to the visual and tactile characteristics of the aggregate chips, such as glass beads if light reflection is desired, or glass beads if elasticity is desired. It is desirable to use a material with special properties as aggregate chips, such as rubber chips.

Therefore, in event plazas, etc., depending on the content and purpose of the event, you can use various colored aggregate chips to design and construct colors, patterns, etc. in the same way as sand painting, and scattering glass beads will reflect the night lights. So beautiful. In addition, when using it as a sports field, etc., it is recommended to replace it with elastic aggregate chips such as rubber chips. (If necessary, you can also draw lines with white aggregate chips, etc.) You can use a vacuum cleaner etc. to collect it.
If they are collected by type, they can be used repeatedly.

The particle size of the aggregate chips is not particularly limited, but in order for the formed chip layer to have sufficient water permeability,
For example, it is preferable to adjust the particle size in advance to a level that allows water permeability to be maintained, such as by removing a portion of fine particles with a particle size of 2.5 m+ or less. Furthermore, in order to make the water permeability function remarkable, it is desirable to adjust the particle size so that aggregate chips having a particle size larger than the surface pore size of the pavement base material are the main components. The surface gap dimension is the average value of the dimensions of the permeable channels connecting the pavement base surface and the internal voids, and is a dimension that differs depending on the type of pavement base. Furthermore, the aggregate chips to be directly sprinkled onto the pavement substrate are preferably of a size that allows an average of two or more aggregate chips to be filled into each concave portion on the surface of the pavement substrate. For example, if it is Ascon with an open particle size of 20+W, the particles with a maximum particle size of 20+W are about 5 to 1 inch, etc., and the parts with ``more than 5 degrees'' and ``less than 1 degree'' are sieved,
It is preferable to adjust the particle size to a single particle size of 5 to 1 + m J.Also, when further scattering aggregate chips on top of this, the particle size of the aggregate chips should be the same as the particle size sprinkled on the pavement base surface. or larger particle sizes are desirable.

The shape of the aggregate chips reduces the noise and feeling of walking when walking.
There are things that appeal to pedestrians, such as visibility, for example, the feeling of slippage between shoes and the pavement surface when walking is thicker with pea gravel (you can feel it, but you can't feel it much with crushed stone, etc.). A variety of materials can be selected depending on the purpose of use, taking into account the impact on the sense of walking. The present invention distributes aggregate chips onto the pavement base, and when necessary, the base material can be easily and easily replaced. Since the aggregate chips are characterized by not sticking to the surface of the pavement, it is preferable that the shape of the aggregate chips is spherical with less angularity so that a part of the aggregate chips is less likely to get caught in the recesses on the surface of the pavement base.

The amount of aggregate chips to be spread is determined by the amount of spreading enough to fill the depressions on the surface of the pavement base with aggregate chips to expose the coarse aggregate surface of the pavement base, and the amount of spreading enough to cover the entire pavement base with aggregate chips. There is a quantity. For the former, the base material is, for example, a mixture of 80 to 90% crushed stone No. 5, 5 to 15% sand, 3 to 5% stone powder, and 3 to 5% asphalt, and aggregate chips with a diameter of about 2 to 3 mm are placed on the surface. It is best to spray 3 to 4 kg/m, the latter being 80 to 90% crushed stone No. 5 or No. 6 crushed stone,
With a composition of 5-15% sand, 3-5% stone powder, and 3-5% asphalt, when using No. 5 crushed stone, a diameter of 2-3 m is applied to the surface.
m, when using crushed stone No. 6, 3-4 kg/m' and 1-2 kg of aggregate chips of about 1-21W1, respectively.
It is preferable to sprinkle 4 to 5 kg/rn of aggregate chips with the same particle size or larger on top of that.

The former can be created by combining the characteristics of the pavement base (for example, the color of the mixture, the color of the coarse aggregate, etc.) and the characteristics of the aggregate chips (for example, the color of the aggregate chips, the material, etc.). Since only a small amount of aggregate chips is required, it is suitable for conditions such as open spaces where the aggregate chips are frequently replaced depending on the purpose of use and the season.

(Effects) The present invention provides a pavement base that has a walking sensation that only conventional gravel roads could provide, harmonizes with the surrounding landscape, has excellent drainage, and has aggregate shapes and colors that suit the purpose of use. , or aggregate chips can be selected, and colors, patterns, etc. can be designed in accordance with the TPO in the sense of sand painting, and the design can also be updated by replacing the aggregate chips. Moreover, it has become possible to provide a water-permeable pseudo-gravel road pavement that is easy to maintain and manage on a daily basis. In addition, in the present invention, by having a water-permeable pavement base, it is possible to make a thin layer of gravel made of expensive pea gravel, etc., which is necessary to fill in the depressions on the surface or cover the surface. It is highly economical, prevents subgrade soil from entering the gravel layer, and maintains good drainage at all times. Furthermore, since the surface of the pavement base on which aggregate chips are distributed has no cross slope and can be laid horizontally, movement of aggregate chips due to walking can be suppressed, and daily maintenance work such as road surface preparation can be carried out. It is possible to significantly reduce the amount of damage caused, and it is also possible for work vehicles to drive onto the pavement. Therefore, it is used as a pavement with a natural feel that needs to harmonize with the surrounding landscape, such as the approach to a temple or shrine, or a walking path in a park, or as a pavement that gives a feeling of walking. It is particularly effective as paving for event plazas, etc., where textures can be created flexibly.

The permeable gravel road pavement that was constructed had the entire surface of the permeable asphalt concrete covered with pea gravel, and required the same amount of work as gravel road pavement. When I actually walked on this, I felt the same walking sound and feeling (the feel of the soles of my shoes) as on a gravel road. In addition, even though the pavement base was visible when walking, it did not feel strange because the gaps in the pavement base were filled with gravel of the same type but with different particle sizes.
The recognized pavement base was buried by subsequent walking, leaving the road surface as a gravel road. Furthermore, water was sprinkled 50 times per hour, but there were no problems such as water puddles on the surface, and good water permeability was maintained even when water was sprinkled while soil was being sprinkled. But I couldn't see any dirt on my shoes.

In the completed permeable gravel road pavement, the top of the coarse aggregate of the permeable asphalt concrete was exposed, so the coarse aggregate appeared to be floating. In addition, the gray of the permeable asphalt concrete and the brown of the aggregate chips have a good hue, and the use of rounded aggregate chips has resulted in a pavement with an overall warm and soft feel.

After several months, in order to spread aggregate chips (green) according to the season, the aggregate chips filled on the road surface were sucked up with a vacuum cleaner (industrial), and the amount of aggregate chips (green) was 2 to 3 m1n/rn.
When the new aggregate chips were immediately spread and filled, a road surface with a cool hue different from the previous road surface was obtained. No clogging of the pavement base after aggregate chip suction (
Even when water was sprinkled at a rate of 50 tons per hour, the sprayed water immediately penetrated into the pavement substrate, and there were no problems caused by the water sprinkling.
