体後部全体も下方に折れ曲がるため、衝突荷重が車体下
方に集中的にかかるが、高剛性に形成されたサスタワー
5によって効果的に阻止され、車体後部の前方への変形
移動が防止される。このようなことから、衝突荷重をド
ア開口部1近傍に至るまでにより効果的に緩和・抑制す
ることができ、フレーム部4が設けられている部分のり
ャフェンダーバネル15がドアに被さるようなことがな
くなり、ドアの開閉に支障をきたすような事態の発生が
回避される。
