Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a universal correcting fluid excellent in flow and covering power, adhesion of a corrective coating film to a paper surface and high in a drying rate of rewriting ink by adding a specified solvent to a specified resin composition and mixing the obtained mixture with TiO2, a porous inorganic substance and a dispersant. CONSTITUTION:A 6-8C aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent in which the following resins are soluble is added to a resin composition comprising at least the three of a terpene resin and/or its derivative as a resin composition as a film-forming binder, a oligoterpene oil as a tackifier and an ethylene/butylene/styrene copolymer which facilitates the film formation, and TiO2 as a covering agent, a porous inorganic substance as a rewritability improver and a dispersant are added to the obtained mixture to obtain an error correcting fluid. The viscosity of the resin solution can be greatly suppressed, so that the correcting fluid can be increased in the amount of TiO2 added, and excels in flow and covering power, and the adhesion of a corrective coating film to a paper surface can be improved by the effect of the tackifying agent. By the addition of the porous inorganic substance, the coating film is matted and the drying of rewriting ink can be accelerated.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention relates to a typographical correction fluid for the purpose of correcting and concealing typographical errors or corrections to drawings, etc., and particularly to a so-called all-purpose correction fluid capable of correcting and concealing all kinds of handwritten marks.

(Prior art) All-purpose correction fluids have conventionally used titanium dioxide as a masking agent, methacrylic acid ester resin as a coating film-forming resin, 1,1°, ~ trichloroethane, and alicyclic as solvents. (Problems to be Solved by the Present Invention) Conventionally, universal correction fluids have been capable of correcting and concealing almost all handwritten marks, regardless of whether they are water-based or oil-based. However, when correcting an indirect copy document, the solvent component contained in the correction fluid easily dissolves the styrene resin contained in the copying toner, so the carbon black particles in the toner float to the surface, making it difficult to correct. I couldn't fix it.

Furthermore, since the polarity of the resin used is very low in terms of -a, the adhesiveness with the paper surface is poor, and the correction surface peels off during rewriting.

Furthermore, since the repair surface has optical toughness, in other words, the resin completely covers the titanium dioxide particles that are the masking agent, and the surface of the repair surface is completely covered with the resin used, so it cannot be reused. Writing inks, especially water-based inks, have the disadvantage that drying is extremely slow.

In addition, by adding terpene low-polymerized oil, which is a tackifier for these resins, to the terpene resin and/or its air attractant, the adhesion to the paper surface is improved and the viscosity of the resin solution is extremely reduced. As a result, the filling rate of titanium dioxide could be increased and a good hiding effect could be obtained. In addition, due to the low solution viscosity, the fluidity during application can be improved, and the corrected surface after application dries is smooth and does not get caught when rewriting, and the corrected surface can be easily removed from the paper surface. There was no peeling.

Furthermore, the inventors have succeeded in speeding up the drying of the rewriting ink by adding porous inorganic materials such as silica gel, alumina gel, silica alumina gel, etc. Although it is advantageous for the porous inorganic material used in the present invention to have a larger pore diameter, even a porous inorganic material with a pore diameter of 20 Å or less will accelerate the drying of the rewriting ink. Since the added porous mineral has a large internal surface area, the entire surface is not covered by the binder resin composition, and as a result, a significant portion of the added porous mineral remains on the modified surface. It is exposed and has a matte appearance,
A good correction surface can be obtained without impairing visual sense.

The blending ratio of the terpene resin and the tackifier oil in the resin composition used in the present invention varies depending on the amount of the ethylene butylene styrene copolymer that is the coating film forming resin, but is based on 100 parts by weight of the terpene resin. oil 4
0 to 100 parts by weight is suitable. If the amount of oil added is too small, the adhesion to the paper surface will be poor, while if the amount added is too large, the coated film surface will become soft and difficult to rewrite. The appropriate amount of the ethylene-butylene-styrene copolymer to be added to the terpene resin-oil composition is 5 to 30 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the terpene resin-oil composition. If the amount added is less than 5 parts by weight, the coating surface will become soft and difficult to rewrite,
On the other hand, if it is added in an amount of 30 parts by weight or more, the viscosity of the solution increases, which impairs the smoothness during coating, and it becomes impossible to add a large amount of titanium dioxide, so that a good hiding effect cannot be expected.

This correction liquid can keep the viscosity of the resin solution extremely low, and as a result, it is possible to increase the amount of titanium dioxide, which is a hiding agent, to obtain a correction liquid with excellent fluidity and hiding properties. Not only was this possible, but the adhesion of the modified coating to the paper surface was significantly improved due to the effect of the tackifier used.
