[Detailed explanation of the invention] [Industrial application field] This invention is applied to LCDs in various electronics.
The invention relates to elastic conductive connectors that connect electrodes between printed circuit boards and circuit boards.

[Prior Art] In a conventional elastic conductive connector of this type, the conductive part is formed by mixing a conductive substance such as carbon powder, fiber, or metal into an insulating elastic rubber such as a polymer, and the insulating part is formed by mixing a conductive substance such as a polymer or the like. It is made of insulating elastic rubber, and the two are alternately laminated.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] The electrode contact part of the conventional conductive connector is
As shown in FIG. 3, in the case of, for example, a U-shape, the conductive portion 5 is exposed over a wide area 5a. Therefore, when used in a humid environment or during a humidification test, moisture may enter the gap between the exposed connector portion 5a and the substrate to be connected, resulting in a short circuit between the electrode to be connected and its adjacent electrode. In particular, this defect often occurs when the board spacing and connector pitch are minute.

[Means for Solving the Problems] Therefore, in order to improve the display defects of LCD modules, etc., the present invention aims to eliminate the exposed parts other than the conductive parts that come into close contact with the printed circuit board and the connecting parts with the LCD board that have the electrodes to be connected. In order to minimize the amount of conductive parts left behind, the remaining exposed parts were covered with an insulating polymer.

[Example] The connector 1 has a cross section in which a horizontally opening groove 2 is formed by combining an insulating elastic rubber block 3 with an inverted L-shaped cross section and a rectangular insulating elastic rubber block 4 with a lower height. A conductive portion 5 is disposed inside the conductive portion 5, which rises from the lower surface 1a at the joint surface 1c of both blocks, bends laterally along the upper surface of the groove 2, and reaches the opening end surface 1b. And groove 2 where the LCD board is inserted
Among the conductive parts 5a disposed along the LCD plate and the groove, those parts that do not come into contact with the LCD plate are covered with an insulating polymer 6.

[Effects of the invention] Since the invention is configured as described above,
When the LCD board 7 is attached to the connector 1, a space 9 is created in the groove 2 of the connector 1, but conventionally, moisture that has entered this space causes a short circuit between adjacent electrodes, causing the display of the liquid crystal module, etc. However, in the present invention, the electrode portion exposed in this space is covered with an insulating polymer 6, so that the defect occurs.
Such defects no longer occur.
