Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a studless tire possible to run ruts in a snowy and icing road surface with good stability and having no trouble of damage on road surface or public nuisance by providing spike pins on the maximum width position in side portions in areas from the maximum fire width position to a tread shoulder portion. CONSTITUTION:Spike pins P are arranged in areas A from the maximum width position D of a tire to the shoulder portion of a tread 1 on at least side portion on the maximum width position D side of the tire. No spike pin P comes into contact with the road surface at the time of running on a paved road surface, and at the time of running on the ruts in a snowy and icing road surface spike pins, come into contact with the wall faces of ruts, in the snowy and icing road surface, helping fives to leave the ruts, therefore the tire exhibits the same tire performance as an usual tire at the time of running on a flat paved road surface, and exhibits its performance as a studless tire at the time of running on a snowy and icing road surface.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention enables vehicles to easily escape from ruts formed on snowy and icy roads, and prevents damage to the road surface caused by spiked tires and pollution caused by dust. This invention relates to pneumatic tires that are effective for use on snowy and icy roads, especially studless tires.

Conventionally, spike tires have been used as tires for driving on snowy and icy roads, and they have the characteristics of stable driving, braking force, and steering stability, as well as low running resistance and good vibration riding comfort. Due to unavoidable damage and public health concerns due to pollution caused by dust, production is about to be discontinued. As an alternative to spiked tires, studless tires have attracted attention, and many requests have been made to improve their performance.

Furthermore, as a result of the abolishment of the spike pin tires mentioned above, there will be problems when driving on snowy and icy roads, such as ruts formed on snowy and icy roads. There are problems such as the danger of running over a rut, the inability of vehicles to move over ruts, causing traffic jams, and other troubles that cannot be avoided.

As a tire that prevents road damage caused by the spike pin tires mentioned above, spike pins are installed on a part of the tire sill, and when the air filling pressure of the tire is high, the spike pins on the shoulder part do not contact the road surface, but the air pressure is reduced. A tire has been proposed that functions as a spike tire by causing the spike pins to come into contact with the road surface.
75404, Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 61-152503), however, the air pressure of this tire must be adjusted each time it is driven on a snowy or icy road or on a dry road, and the pressure gauge, etc., must be adjusted at all times. This method requires a jig and requires a lot of effort to adjust the air pressure, making it complicated and impractical.

Furthermore, tires with spike pins installed on a portion of the shoulders are prone to slipping when driving on snowy and icy roads with deep ruts caused by trucks, buses, etc., especially when the ruts are frozen early in the morning or late at night. There was a problem in that the vehicle could not actually run stably, and it was difficult to get out of the rut easily.

[Means for Solving the Problems] An object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic tire in which spike pins are provided in at least the side portion of the tire maximum width position in an area from the tire maximum width position to a part of the tread shoulder; Preferably, this can be achieved by using studless tires.

以下、図面に基づき本発明を具体的に説明する。Hereinafter, the present invention will be specifically explained based on the drawings.

As shown in the figure, the tire of the present invention has a small area A from the maximum width position to a part of the shoulder of Trend 1 (both at the point where the spike pin P is arranged on the side part of the tire maximum width position). It has characteristics.

As the spike pins P, various existing pins made of metal, plastic, ceramic, etc. can be used alone or in combination, and these pins are preferably installed in at least two rows along the circumferential direction of the tire. However, these spike pins P need to be installed at least in the side portion of the area A extending from the tire maximum width position to a part of the shoulder of the tread 1 on the side of the tire maximum width position. In other words, in FIG. 1, even if the spike pin P is installed in an area one step closer to the tire maximum width position, the rut running performance on snowy and icy road surfaces and the effect of rut escape will not be exhibited. There is no need to provide it in an area far from the position. On the other hand, if the spike pin P is provided beyond a part of the shoulder, especially in the N area exposed to the tread surface beyond the shoulder 2, it is not preferable because the 8-spike pin P may damage the road surface.

Therefore, preferably, even if the tread surface l of the tire wears out, the spike pin P is exposed from the tread surface and does not come into contact with the road surface to cause damage to the road surface, that is, the tip of the spike pin is located on the tread surface. It is desirable to provide the groove in a region that does not reach the bottom of the groove 3 (groove 3 indicated by the dotted line in FIG. 1). More preferably, the spike pin P is
As shown in Figure 2, in order to provide at least 2 to 4 rows of tires on the side near the tire's maximum width position, and to maximize performance as a tire for snowy and icy roads, The tread pattern to be formed is preferably a studless pattern.

FIG. 2 is a half-sectional view showing an embodiment of the tire of the present invention in which spike pins P are provided on the side portion near the tire maximum width position, and FIG. 2A is a half-sectional view showing a tire running on a paved road surface DR. FIG. 2B is a diagram showing the state in which the vehicle is traveling through ruts on a snowy and icy road surface SR. As shown in the figure, when driving on a paved road surface DR, the spike pin P does not come into contact with the road surface and functions as a normal tire, and when driving on a snowy road surface SR in ruts, the spike pin P does not come into contact with the road surface, and when driving in ruts on a snowy road surface SR, the spike pin P does not come into contact with the road surface. The spike pins P installed on the side parts of the tires come into contact with the walls of the ruts on the snowy and icy road surface SR to stabilize the running of the tires and help the tires escape from the ruts.

According to the present invention, when driving on a flat paved road, the tire exhibits the same performance as a normal tire, and until the tire tread part is completely worn out, it does not cause road surface damage or dust pollution problems like a spiked tire. Never. When running on a snowy and icy road, the tire exhibits the performance as a studless tire, has particularly excellent steering stability when running on a snowy and icy road, and has the effect of being able to easily pass over and escape from the rutted snowy and icy road.
