    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 機体２に、イメージセンサ８の直下に用紙２６
    を案内するペーパーガイド４，６を設け、駆動ロ
    ーラ１０，１２と、ピンチローラ２０，２２とで
    用紙２６をペーパーガイド４，６に沿つて送り、
    前記イメージセンサ８で用紙２６の画像情報を読
    み取るようにした装置において、前記ペーパーガ
    イド４，６の前方に位置して前記機体２に形成さ
    れた用紙挿入口２ａと、この用紙挿入口２ａから
    前記ペーパーガイド４，６内に送つた用紙２６を
    、一度後方に送り、その後前記駆動ローラ１０，
    １２を逆回転させて、用紙２６の画像情報を読み
    取りこの読み取つた用紙２６を前記用紙挿入口２
    ａに戻すように前記駆動ローラ１０，１２及びイ
    メージセンサ８を制御するコントローラ１６とを
    備えた画像読取装置。
