CONSTITUTION:On both sides of optical readers 14 and 15, feed rollers 17 and 26 and brake rollers 18 and 27 driven by a reversible step motor 32, and trays 19 and 28 capable of swinging are arranged. For example, originals mounted on one tray 19 are read, sheet by sheet, by the optical readers 14 and 15 by way of the feed roller 17, and ejected from the other feed roller 26 onto the tray 28. Further, after all originals are fed and read once, the originals on the other tray 28 are read by the optical readers 14 and 15 through the other reversing roller 26, and then ejected from the reversing roller 17 onto the tray 19. This processing is repeated as many times as prescribed and the device then stops.
