Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily detach the title electrocasting electrode ring by making the ring higher than the thickness of an electrocast film, providing a passive coating film thereon, and thereby preventing the ring from being covered with the electrocast film. CONSTITUTION:The electrocasting electrode ring 4 in contact with an electrode film 1 is fixed to a cathode 7, and opposed to an anode 8. Electrocasting is then carried out to form the electrocast film 2 on the electrode film 1, and a stamper 3, etc., are obtained. The ring 4 is made higher than the thickness of the electrocast film 2. The passive coating film 5 is provided on the outer surface of the ring 4 except the surface in contact with the electrode film 1. As a result, the ring 4 is not covered with the electrocast film 2, and the deposition of the electrocast film 2 is prevented by the passive coating film 5. Accordingly, the ring 4 can be easisly detached after electrocasting, and the generation of defects in the electrocast film 2 can be prevented.

As shown in the cross-sectional view shown in Figure 2, the conventional electrode ring for electroforming is performed by bringing a thin sheet-shaped electrode ring 4' attached to the cathode 7 into contact with the electrode film 1, and then performing electroforming. membrane 2
was forming.

However, the above-mentioned conventional electrode ring for electroforming is in the form of a sheet and is completely covered with an electroformed film.
In order to use the stamper fixed to the electroformed film and formed by electroforming as a mold for molding, it is necessary to polish and flatten the surface of the electroformed film facing the anode. Since there is a step on the surface facing the anode of the membrane that corresponds to the convex electrode ring, the sheet-shaped electrode ring must be punched out and removed during polishing, so a groove was formed for punching. There were disadvantages in that the surface needed to be protected and defects occurred during punching.

The electrode ring for electroforming shown in Figure 1 can be easily removed after electroforming because it has a passive film on it, so there is no need to remove it by punching, which simplifies the process. This has the effect of not only preventing the occurrence of defects but also allowing the electrode ring to be reused.
