Various mounting members are known for attaching buttons such as snap buttons to clothing.
One of the frequently used eyelets is an eyelet 1 shown in FIG. The eyelet 1 consists of a cylindrical stud 3 standing up from a circular flange 2, and some have a pointed upper end for piercing clothing, and others have a decorative plate 4.

Figures 2 and 3 show a conventional example of attaching a snap button having a ring-shaped spring using an eyelet. The button 5 is a female member and has a ring spring 6 in its opening. The spring 6 has an inner diameter smaller than the opening of the button, but since this inner diameter is circular, insert the eyelet 6 as shown in Fig. 1, clamp it to the garment fabric 7, and use the tip of the upper die to secure the stud tip of the mounting member. There will be no problem in tightening it. This is because the tip of the upper mold can be made to have a sufficiently larger diameter than the tip of the stud. However, the fourth
As shown in Figure 5, when parallel springs 9 and 10 protrude into the inner hole 11 of the female button 8, the stud of the eyelet itself should be made small in diameter to fit the mold, and the above-mentioned breakage and curling should be avoided. To avoid difficulties, it must be kept short, and the thickness of the fabric is correspondingly limited. In addition, in order to increase the diameter of the tip, as shown in Figure 6, near the tip of the upper mold 12 is cut out from both sides so that it can fit into the inner hole of the button 8, so that the distance between the surfaces is greater than the distance between the springs 9 and 10. It was necessary to use an upper mold formed to have narrow parallel surfaces 13 and 14. For this reason, the curl at the tip of the eyelet 6 to be caulked cannot be sufficiently formed in the left-right direction of the upper mold as seen in FIG. In some cases, the stud 3 was damaged. In addition, the button 8 must be oriented in the correct direction and fitted onto the tip of the upper mold, resulting in a decrease in efficiency. On the other hand, also in the case of a cylindrical mold having an outer diameter slightly smaller than the diameter of the inner hole of the button as shown in FIG. Since the button 8 is always tilted due to the presence of springs 9 and 10, one of the springs (9 in the figure) will hit the end face of the mold, and the button will not fit into the mold unless a considerable force is applied. This is because it cannot be done.

Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a mold that does not have these problems, and in particular, to provide a mold that is suitable for use in buttons of the type in which parallel springs protrude into the inner hole. do.

Briefly describing the present invention, the mold of the present invention is a mold for attaching a button with a parallel spring protruding from the inner hole of the button. The distal end portion consists of a protruding end that can be fitted into the inner hole at the upper end of the eyelet, and an eyelet pressing surface that curves in a substantially horizontal direction toward the outer periphery from the protruding end, and the cylindrical portion is characterized by It has a circumferential groove that can temporarily hold the parallel spring of the button at a position close to the pressing surface.

According to the above configuration, when the button is fitted to the end face of the mold having an outer diameter larger than the parallel spring spacing, the spring in the button inner hole is inserted into the end face of the mold, as described in conjunction with FIG. The button easily passes through the diameter portion, enters the circumferential groove, and is then easily guided again to the larger diameter portion on the back side, so that the button can be fitted into the mold in the correct orientation.

Referring to FIGS. 7 and 8 showing an embodiment of the present invention, the mold 15 can be fitted into the inner hole 11 of the button shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, and the parallel springs 9, 1
It is formed from a cylindrical body with an outer diameter greater than zero spacing. The tip (lower end) 16 of the mold has a protruding end 17 that enters the inner hole of the eyelet, and a pressing surface 18 that is preferably slightly recessed and forms a smooth curve toward the outer periphery from the protruding end 17 so as to be suitable for caulking the eyelet. . Generally, the pressing surface needs to have a sufficient area to curl the tip of the stud of the eyelet, but the mold of the present invention has an outer circumference larger than the spacing between the parallel springs 9 and 10 due to the presence of the circumferential groove described later. Since this is determined, the pressing surface 18 can be made sufficiently large. A circumferential groove 19 is formed on the outer periphery of the mold at a position slightly apart from the tip 16. The distance from the tip 16 to the upper end of the circumferential groove 19 is
It is desirable that the distance be set shorter than the distance from the bottom of the inner hole of the button to the parallel springs 9, 10. Circumferential groove 1
The cross section of 9 may be arbitrary, and should preferably have no corners. When fitting the button to the tip of the mold, the parallel springs 8 and 9 of the button first fit into the circumferential groove, and then slide further to the outer periphery of the mold (at the large diameter part).

In use, when fitting the button to the tip of the mold, the button is pressed by the parallel spring 9, as shown in FIG.
10, but since the first spring fitted (10 in the figure) enters the circumferential groove 19, the other spring (9 in the figure) is tilted to one side if there is no such groove (Figure 10). Since the spring is located to the left compared to the above (see ), by pressing the button slightly upward, the other spring can be easily fitted into the mold, and the other spring can be easily fitted into the mold along the upper taper of the circumferential groove 19. Fits into. As a result, the parallel springs 9 and 10 clamp the large diameter portion of the mold and hold the button 8 in the correct horizontal position. In this state, when the upper mold 15 is pressed against the stud of the eyelet 1 held in the lower mold 20 placed under the garment fabric 7, the mold end surface 16 curls the upper end of the stud and attaches the button in a predetermined manner. Complete. As described above, since the mold of the present invention has an outer diameter larger than the parallel spring spacing, it has the advantage of having a large area of the caulking tip surface and of being able to easily fit the button. Therefore, the diameter of the stud of the eyelet itself can be increased, and longer studs can be used.
Achieve effects such as improved work efficiency.
