However, in a practical situation where the button member is attached to clothes or the like, the button member generally has an arrow a, which is transverse to the engagement direction.
An external force or a tensile force as shown by b is applied.
In the snap button having the above-described structure, the pulling force is applied along the stud portion 1 of the male member and the opening 5 of the female member so as to resiliently receive the stud portion 1 and prevent the stud portion 1 from being engaged. It is concentrated on the contact portion with the provided spring portion 9. As a result, the spring portion 9 tends to gradually become loose and no longer serve its role.

The problem to be solved is that the tensile force in the transverse direction with respect to the engaging direction as described above, which is applied to the button member in a practical situation where the button is attached to clothes or the like, concentrates on the contact portion between the stud portion and the spring portion of the male member. As a result, the spring portion is gradually loosened, which tends to stop its function.

In the present invention, a snap button formed of a female member having a central opening portion and a peripheral flange portion and a male member having a central stud portion and a peripheral flange portion capable of resiliently engaging with the opening portion. A combined body, wherein one of the female member and the male member has a plurality of protrusions on a peripheral flange portion thereof, and the other of the female member and the male member has a hole portion capable of fitting the protrusion. Equipped on the surrounding flange,
A snap button combination, wherein a transverse movement space between the projection portion and the hole portion in the engagement state of the snap button is set to be smaller than a movement space between the opening portion and the stud portion. A body is provided. The protruding portions are symmetrically arranged around one of the stud portion and the opening portion, and the hole portions are symmetrically arranged around the other of the stud portion and the opening portion.

FIGS. 3 and 4 are a plan view and a sectional view, respectively, of the female member 18 corresponding to the male member 10 in the snap button according to the present invention. The female member 18 also has an opening 20 for receiving the stud portion 12 of the male member 10 as before,
A spring member for resiliently engaging and disengaging the bulging portion 22 of the stud portion 12 formed along the circumference of the opening 20.
24. And on the flange part 26,
A plurality of protrusions 16 formed on the flange portion 14 of the male member
The holes 28 are formed in the same number as the protrusions 16 for engaging the holes. At the same time when the male member 10 and the female member 18 are engaged with the hole 28, the protrusion 16 is engaged substantially simultaneously. However, the protrusions 16 and the holes 28 have an inner gap dimension "
The "a" is larger than the gap "b" between the opening 20 and the bulging portion 22 of the stud portion, as shown in FIG.
In this configuration, an external force is applied to the snap button combination to move the male member 10 in the direction of arrow A and the female member 18 in the direction of arrow B. The external force
The outer surface of 16 and the inner surface of hole 28 are received by contact with each other and are not transmitted to said spring member 24 or stud portion 12.
