Up until now, natural wood veneer has been used as the veneer for decorative plywood. However, raw wood for natural precious wood veneer is becoming very scarce, and the yield is low when manufacturing natural precious wood veneer with beautiful grain patterns from raw wood.
Natural wood veneer is extremely expensive. Therefore, decorative veneers (artificial wood veneers) having a grain pattern similar to natural wood veneers are manufactured using lower-priced logs instead of using natural wood veneers.
The method for producing such a decorative veneer is as follows.

In other words, prepare multiple low-cost raw wood veneers,
It is dyed to the spring wood color by dip dyeing, then the spring wood color dyed veneers are made into a set of two and brought into close contact with each other, and in that state, the outer surface (surface) of the two veneers is dyed.
By dyeing the veneer to a summer wood color, a dyed veneer is created in which the surface layer has a summer wood color and the inner layer has a spring wood color. Next, these dyed veneers are stacked with their summer wood color surface layers facing in the same direction.
This was sandwiched between a pair of templates and pressed together to create fritches, which were then sliced to produce decorative veneers.

However, when producing decorative veneers in this manner, it is extremely difficult to use raw wood veneers with a dark base color to produce decorative veneers with a lighter color than that. For this reason, raw wood veneers with a uniform ground color are selected and fritched, but some veneers are wasted and the resulting decorative veneers are expensive.

In addition, the raw wood veneer is dyed in spring wood color by dip dyeing,
Then, in order to dye it in the summer wood color by dyeing,
In particular, the summer wood color dyed layer had a dark surface and gradually became lighter in color as it moved towards the inside. When a decorative veneer is manufactured using such a dyed veneer, a decorative veneer whose color changes gradually from the summer wood part to the spring wood part can be obtained. However, in some actual natural wood veneers, the boundary between summer wood and spring wood can be clearly distinguished. However, it has been difficult to manufacture such products using conventional methods.

Furthermore, as mentioned above, when raw wood veneers are first dyed to a spring wood color by dip dyeing, and then dyed to a summer wood color by the same dyeing process to create a dyed veneer, and then a decorative veneer is manufactured using this dyed veneer, When a raw wood veneer is dyed to a spring wood color and then dyed to a summer wood color, the spring wood color dye solution remaining in the raw wood veneer leaches into the summer wood color dyeing bath, causing the color of the summer wood dyeing bath to change. There was also the problem that the balance was lost and stable staining became difficult.

In the present invention, for example, a decorative veneer is manufactured in the following manner. Namely, raw wood veneer, colored veneer,
A veneer made of a material such as plywood is first bleached with a bleaching agent to a specified spring wood color (the color of the spring wood of the natural precious wood veneer as a target), and then, if necessary, the bleaching agent is applied to the veneer. Clean so that no residue remains inside. Next, on one side of this decolorized veneer A, a solution of a coloring agent such as a dye or pigment of the same color as the summer wood part of the targeted natural wood veneer is applied using a roll coater or spray. The solution is permeated to a predetermined depth to produce a colored veneer with a summerwood colored layer on one side. Next, this colored veneer is cured as necessary and then dried until it reaches a predetermined moisture content. Next, an adhesive is applied to the veneer surface of the colored veneer, and a predetermined number of veneers are stacked so that the colored layers of the colored veneer face in the same direction, and this is sandwiched between a pair of templates that have unevenness on the pressing surface. A decorative veneer is manufactured by pressing the material into a flitch and slicing the flitch at a predetermined angle to the surface.

In this case, we use a natural wood veneer with a color density gradient (color density gradient when looking at the veneer in the thickness direction) as shown in Figure 1, that is, from summer wood (dark color) to spring wood. When manufacturing a decorative veneer that has a color density gradient similar to that of a natural precious wood veneer that has a color density gradient that gradually becomes lighter in color (light color), it is done as follows. That is, when forming a summer wood colored colored layer on one side of a bleached veneer, a penetrating agent is contained in a summer wood coloring solution, and after applying this to one side of the veneer, it is placed in a sealed container for 40 to 40 minutes.
The colored veneer is cured for a while at 70°C to gradually penetrate the summerwood coloring agent solution, and a decorative veneer is manufactured using the colored veneer on which the summerwood coloring layer is formed in this way. As a result, as shown in FIG. 2, a decorative veneer having a color density gradient similar to that of FIG. 1 is obtained. Also,
In particular, decorative veneers with a color density gradient similar to those of natural precious wood veneers, which have a color density gradient that rapidly becomes lighter from the summer wood area to the spring wood area, as shown in Figure 3. When manufacturing, proceed as follows. That is, when forming a summer wood colored colored layer on one side of a decolorized veneer, a thickener is added to the summer wood coloring solution to suppress the penetration of the coloring agent solution.
When a decorative veneer is manufactured using the colored veneer on which the summer wood coloring layer is formed in this way, as shown in FIG. A veneer is obtained. In addition, in natural precious wood veneers, the color of the summer wood part differs depending on the annual ring, and the color of a single summer wood part also varies in the length direction. When manufacturing, proceed as follows. In other words, the color of the summerwood part for each annual ring can be changed by changing the color of the summerwood coloring agent solution when forming the summerwood coloring layer on the bleached veneer. Color changes within the timber can be effected by several local applications of the summerwood colorant solution.
Therefore, by combining these methods, a decorative veneer with a wood grain pattern that closely resembles that of a natural precious wood veneer can be obtained. Further, the coloring of the decolorized veneer with the summer wood coloring agent solution may be carried out by textile printing. Further, the decolorization of the material veneer may be performed by discharge printing. By performing printing and discharge printing in this way, a decorative veneer with a slightly changed wood grain pattern can be obtained.

In addition, in the above explanation, a summer wood colored colored layer is directly formed on a bleached veneer that has been bleached to a predetermined spring wood color, and this is used to manufacture a decorative veneer. A bleached veneer that has been bleached to a lighter color than the material color,
It is also possible to manufacture a decorative veneer by once dyeing a predetermined spring wood color and forming a summer wood color colored layer on this spring wood color dyed veneer B. Furthermore, the decolorized veneer A and the spring wood color-dyed veneer B may be used together.

As described above, in the present invention, in order to once bleach the material veneer to a color equal to or lower than a predetermined spring wood color, a material veneer with a dark background color can be used.
Furthermore, decolorization causes the lignin present on the surface of the material veneer to elute and roughen the structure, making it possible to color ordinary material veneers that are difficult to color with colorants in an unbleached state. And this invention
As mentioned above, instead of dyeing the veneer surface of a dyed veneer that has been dyed to a spring wood color to a summer wood color by dip dyeing to create a dyed veneer, the veneer surface of a bleached veneer or a dyed veneer is dyed to a summer wood color. Create a colored veneer by applying a material coloring agent,
Since this is used to manufacture a decorative veneer, it is possible to manufacture a decorative veneer in which the boundary between the summer wood part and the spring wood part can be clearly identified. In addition, the color balance of the dye bath is not disturbed as in the case of conventional dip dyeing, and stable dyeing is possible. In addition, it is easier to apply the colorant locally and change the color of the colorant during the coloring process, so the color of the summerwood part is different for each annual ring, and the color can also be changed in the length direction of a single summerwood part. Different very natural-looking decorative veneers can be produced.
