ペダルの回動に伴い回転するピニオンギヤと、該
ピニオンギヤと一体回転可能に車体に枢支される
回転部材と、一端を車体に固定され他端が自由に
されると共に前記回転部材の囲面の外径よりも大
きな内径を有して前記回転部材の周面に遊嵌され
るコイル部を有し、他端を変位させることで前記
コイル部の内径が変化して前記回転部材の周面に
摩擦係合して、この摩擦係合の下では前記ブレー
キペダルの踏み込みに伴う前記回転部材の回転を
許容するが、その逆方向に前記回転部材が回転し
ようとした時には前記回転部材に巻付いて前記回
転部材の逆回転を阻止するスプリング部材と、車
体に固定される電動機及び車体に摺動自在に支持
されて前記スプリング部材の他端を係止すると共
に前記電動機の回転に応じて摺動し前記スプリン
グ部材の他端を変位させる摺動部材から成る電気
式アクチユエータとを備えた車両の制動力保持装
置。
