CONSTITUTION:The respective left aud right error signals Rerror, Lerror due to the feed abnormality of continuous paper are generated from the respective signals from detectors 31, 32 by a feed trouble detection circuit 61 as a feed trouble detection means. On the basis of the respective left and right error signals, it is judged whether the restoration of feed abnormality is impossible, by a control apparatus 60. The control of a drive motor 20 is performed when the restoration of feed abnormality is impossible so as to stop the feed driving of the continuous paper, and a right error display lamp 62R and a left error display lamp 62L are used in order to display whether the generation of the non-restorable feed abnormality is on the right side, left side or both sides of the continuous paper.
