<Prior Art> A conventional example of the above type of w/s is shown in FIG.
FIG. 2 is an end view of the section taken along line A-A in FIG. 1 (roof side rail 11 section) in an installed state. Conventional w/s is usually medium foaming (ρ=0.5~0.7
g/cm 3 ) sponge rubber by extrusion or the like, and is attached to the door sash 12 through the mounting base 1.
is fixed. At this time, the size of the tubular part 2 which springs up and down elastically in response to the opening and closing of the door - the rear side of which becomes the sealing contact surface - is such that the top surface 2a is the side wall 11a of the side rail just before the door is closed.
(including the edges of the molding 13) so that they do not come into contact with each other (which would increase the opening/closing force). Therefore, when the door is closed, a groove-like space S is formed between the rail 11 and the seal part 2, and rainwater and dirt accumulate in this groove-like space S and fall into the inside of the car when the door is opened. Wind noise was more likely to occur when driving at high speeds. Furthermore, during high-pressure car washing, it is difficult to obtain sufficient sealing performance using only the seal (main seal) contact surface on the rear side surface 2b of the hollow seal portion. Therefore, in order to eliminate these problems, seal lips 5
This was dealt with by making the seal protrude from the mounting base to provide a two-point sealing function: a main and a sub-seal.
However, it is difficult to control the seal lip to a set shape (projection angle and height) during w/s extrusion, and furthermore, it is difficult to obtain sufficient sealing performance due to variations in assembly and accuracy of side rails and door sashes. Takatsuta. It is undesirable to increase the set deflection of the seal lip in hopes of ensuring a reliable seal, as this increases the opening/closing force of the door.

<Purpose of the invention> In view of the above, this invention is equipped with a sub-seal contact surface that absorbs variations in assembly and accuracy of side rails and door sashes and exhibits good sealing performance, and also has a door opening/closing force that is not excessively high. The purpose is to provide a door w/s that does not have to be.

<Summary of the invention> In order to achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the w/s of this invention has a rear side surface of a tubular part that is continuously formed on the mounting base and rises elastically in response to opening and closing of the door. The present invention is characterized in that the top surface is used as the contact surface of the main seal and the sub-seal, respectively, and the sponge rubber material of the top surface portion is made of highly foamed sponge rubber.

It is made of sponge rubber w/s in which a tubular part 7 is continuously formed on a base part 6 for attachment, and when attached to a door sash, the tubular part 7 rises elastically in response to opening and closing of the door. This w/s is
The rear surface 7b of the tubular portion 7 is a contact surface perpendicular to the door closing direction, that is, it contacts the bottom wall 11b of the roof side rail to perform the main sealing, and the top surface 7a is a contact surface parallel to the door closing direction, that is, the bottom wall 11b of the roof side rail. It has a two-point sealing function that performs a secondary seal by contacting the side wall 11a of the roof side rail (including the edge of the molding 13).
The top surface 7a portion (in the illustrated example, from the front rising part of the tubular portion 7 to the rear side of the top surface portion) is formed of highly foamed sponge rubber R1 (ρ = 0.2 to 0.4 g/cm 3 ), and the other portions are Medium foaming to low foaming sponge rubber R
2 (ρ≧0.5g/cm 3 ). As the sponge rubber material, for example, an ethylene propylene rubber compound containing a foaming agent is used.

Next, how to use the w/s with the above configuration will be explained.
Used by attaching to the roof side rail or front pillar of a car door sash.
When the door is closed, the rear surface 7b of the tubular portion 7 is pressed by the bottom wall 11b of the roof side rail, and the tubular portion 7 rises from the state shown by the two-dot chain line, and the top surface 7a is pressed against the side wall 11a of the side rail (in the example, the end of the molding 13). Approach the edge (edge) from the inside and apply pressure to perform a sub-seal. At this time, since the top surface 7a portion is made of highly foamed sponge rubber, that is, a material with a small modulus, it comes into pressure contact with the side frame 11a of the side rail just before the door closes, but the resistance at that time is small.
The door closing force is not very high, and it also easily absorbs unevenness on the contact surface caused by variations in accuracy. Furthermore, when the door is opened, the tubular portion 7 returns to its original state as shown by the two-dot chain line as the door opens, so that the top surface 7a does not interfere with the side frame 11a of the side rail, making it easy to open the door. In good condition. Of course,
The rear side surface 7b of the tubular portion is connected to the bottom wall 11 of the side rail.
b to perform the main seal. In addition, in this embodiment, since the front rising portion of the tubular portion 7 is also formed of highly foamed sponge rubber, the highly foamed sponge rubber comes into pressure contact with the front portion of the door sash as shown in the figure, and the sealing property at that portion is improved. is also good.

(a) There is no need to include in the cross-sectional shape something like a seal lip, which is difficult to achieve shape accuracy during extrusion molding, and the tubular part alone can provide a two-point sealing function, making it easier to achieve w/s cross-sectional shape precision. Furthermore, it shows good sealing performance by absorbing assembly and dimensional variations in side rails and door sashes.

(b) 副シール当り面となる頂面のモジユラスが小

である。
(b) The modulus of the top surface, which is the sub-seal abutting surface, is small, and the tubular portion rises and falls as the door opens and closes, so the top comes into pressure contact with the side frame of the side rail and seals only when the door is closed. Therefore, the opening/closing force of the door is small and the opening/closing operability is good.
