Recently, a construction method that does not use frames for the vertical joints of glass panels that form the exterior panels of buildings has become popular. In this case, the opposing side edges of the glass plates are simply joined by a narrow sealing material, resulting in an extremely aesthetically pleasing product.

Since the above-mentioned type of curtain wall does not use a vertical frame, a complicated structure is required to fix the glass plate, and therefore a great deal of effort is required to construct the curtain wall. For this reason, it has been difficult to work in high places such as high-rise buildings.

The above purpose is to attach a glass plate, in which a frame with an approximately U-shaped cross section with an engaging piece on the indoor side is glued vertically to the indoor surface of the side edge of the glass plate, to the outdoor side of the mullion. It is attached to the formed key-shaped engagement part via the engagement piece, and the upper and lower end edges of the glass plate are attached to the upper and lower fitting grooves between the mullions. According to the present invention, in a curtain wall structure in which a watertight sealant is filled between the side end surfaces of the glass plates which are fixed to a mullion and are arranged opposite to each other, the engagement piece of the edge frame and the mullion are provided. The key-shaped engaging portion formed on the glass plate is arranged substantially parallel to the main surface of the glass plate, and the engaging piece and the key-shaped engaging portion facing each other have a

As shown in FIG. 1, a frame 4 is adhered to the interior surfaces of both side edges of a rectangular glass plate 1, which serves as an exterior panel of a building, via a structural crazing 2 and a setting seal 3. It is advantageous to use a high-modulus silicone sealant for Structural Crazing 2 because it has a high adhesive strength (13 kg/cm 2 or more) and high rigidity after curing, so it can serve as a structure after curing. The setting seal 3 uses a foam with good air permeability.
It backs up the structural crazing 2 and accelerates its drying and curing. The cross section of the edge frame 4 having the engagement piece 4a on the indoor side is approximately U-shaped and extends in the vertical direction of the glass plate 1. A C-shaped fitting groove 5 is formed in the indented part of the edge frame 4, and an elastic packing 6 made of rubber or the like is fitted into the groove. All of the above are glued and fitted in the factory to form one unit.

In this embodiment, the mullions provided on the indoor side of the glass plate 1 are the mullions 7A and 7B connected to the connecting portions 8 and 8.
It is a split-type mullion that is joined together by bolts to a fastener 10 that is fixed to the building frame 9. Engagement portions 11 each having a key-shaped cross section are provided on the outdoor sides of the mullions 7A and 7B. The engaging portion 11 is formed to engage with the locking piece 4a of the edge frame 4 to restrain the glass plate 1 forming a unit from moving indoors or outdoors.

In particular, as shown in FIG. 2, the blind in this embodiment consists of a main blind 12 and a secondary blind 13, and the lower edge of the glass plate 1 is attached to the upper part of the secondary blind 13, which has an H-shaped cross section laid down on its side. An upper fitting groove 14 for accommodating the glass plate 1 and a lower fitting groove 15 for accommodating the upper end edge of the glass plate 1 are formed at the lower part thereof. The secondary eyelet 13 is hooked on the upper front edge of the main eyelet 12 at the part 16, and then attached to the main eyelet 1 with the screw 17.
2, it can be fixed in a stable state.
The end of the main blind 12 is connected to the mullion 7A or 7B by a screw 19 inserted into a screw hole 18.

As shown in FIG. 3, the engagement pieces 4a of the edge frame 4 and the mullioned engagement portions 11 opposing thereto are each formed at a constant pitch and a constant width. That is, the structure is such that convex portions A, A' and concave portions B, B' are alternately formed at a constant pitch in the vertical direction. However, the upper part of the edge frame 4 is cut off by a height C' which is slightly larger than the lifting allowance C when the glass plate 1 is fitted in the blunt fitting method.
Note that the width of the convex portion A is slightly smaller than the width of the concave portion B'.
The width of the convex portion A' is slightly smaller than the width of the concave portion B (Fig. 2). In addition, the key-shaped engaging portion 11 on the mullion side is also
It is formed from a position C' below the lower edge of 3. As a result, when the glass plate 1 is fitted, the key-shaped engaging portion 11 and the engaging piece 4a protrude at the same height position.

To explain a specific example of installing a curtain wall to a building, the mullions 7A and 7B produced in a factory and the upper and lower main blinds 12 are assembled with screws 19 and fixed to the frame 9 via fasteners 10. Next, attach the secondary blind 13 to the outdoor side of the blind with screws 17. Shumumu 1
2 and the secondary blind 13 may be formed integrally, but it is easier to assemble them if they are separate bodies.

As described above, the glass plate 1 with the edge frame 4 fixed in advance is fitted into the upper and lower fitting grooves 14 and 15 of the secondary blind 13 from the front. That is, the upper edge of the glass plate 1 is cut into the lower fitting groove 15 of the secondary opening 13 using the above-mentioned cutout C'.
Lift and insert the edge frame 4, then shift it by half a pitch.
and the concave and convex portions A, A', B,
By pushing the edge frame 4 into the mullioned engaging portion 11 using B' and then lowering the glass plate 1, a firm engagement can be obtained.

When the watertight sealing material 20 is filled between the opposite end surfaces of the glass plates 1, 1, the glass plate 1 will not move from side to side. Reference numeral 21 indicates a tight material that is filled in advance in the secondary blind 13, and 22 indicates a sealing material that is filled after the glass plate 1 is fitted.

In the above embodiment, the secondary mumoku 1 is fixed in the mullion in advance.
3, the glass plate 1 was fitted in a frugal manner, but a single main blind 12 was fixed in a mullion and the glass plate 1 was fitted into the fitting groove.
It is also possible to drop in, attach another main blind 12 thereon, and then drop the glass plate 1 and assemble it sequentially from the bottom upward.

FIG. 4 is an external view of the structure of the present invention. Make sure that the joint part of the watertight sealing material 20 passes vertically.
3 indicates that they are separated by the width of the joint. Incidentally, in the figure, since reflective glass is generally used for the glass plate 1, the frame 4 and the like on the indoor side of the glass plate are not clearly visible from the outside, so that the aesthetic appearance is not degraded.

Since the present invention is configured as described above, it is possible to obtain a curtain wall with a design in which the side edges of glass plates are butt-joined without having to create a complicated structure. In addition, protrusions and recesses are alternately provided along the opposing edges of the edge frame engagement piece on the glass plate side and the key-shaped engagement portion on the mullion side to be assembled together. Since the glass plates are fitted in a frugal manner, assembly is extremely easy, and since the protrusions on both sides are firmly engaged with each other after assembly, assembly is extremely reliable. Therefore, work at high places can be easily carried out.
