BACKGROUND TECHNOLOGY In recent years, light-emitting display boards have been developed in which a large number of light-emitting elements such as light-emitting diodes are arranged in a matrix on a substrate, and any light-emitting element is energized and turned on to display arbitrary characters, figures, symbols, patterns, etc. Something has been developed that makes it possible. Such light-emitting display boards are convenient because they can display different characters one after another by controlling the lighting of the light-emitting elements, but they can also be used as fixed signboards that display only certain characters, etc., blinking. It is too luxurious and unsuitable for use.

By the way, in order to manufacture a light-emitting display board that displays only certain characters, etc. using light-emitting elements, it is necessary to arrange the light-emitting elements on a suitable board in a desired display pattern and solder them. It would be possible to fix it using other fixing means and wire it, but in that case, the work of fixing the light emitting element and the wiring work is troublesome and time-consuming, and it is difficult for amateurs to manufacture it. Furthermore, since light emitting elements such as light emitting diodes are point light emitters, there is a problem in that visibility deteriorates if they are simply fixed to a substrate and emitted light.

Purpose of the invention This invention was made in view of the above circumstances.

Means for Achieving the Object In order to achieve the object, the light emitting display of the present invention has a substrate formed by arranging a large number of storage holes in a matrix, and a terminal insertion hole is formed in the bottom of each storage hole. At the same time, the peripheral wall surface of each storage hole is used as a light reflecting surface, and the terminal of the light emitting element is inserted into the terminal insertion hole on the bottom of the selected storage hole to form a desired display pattern, and the light emitting element is stored. Store and fix in the hole,
The gist is that the light emitting elements are connected in series on the back surface of the substrate.

Embodiment FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a partially enlarged sectional view of a substrate. The storage holes 3 are arranged in a matrix (in the illustrated example, 8 holes each in the vertical and horizontal directions). Each storage hole 3 is the second
It is formed into a mortar shape as shown in the figure, and its peripheral wall surface (the bottom wall surface is also coated in the figure) is made into a light-reflecting surface by applying a light-reflecting paint 4 such as white paint or silver paint. It is said that However, it is preferable that the bottom wall surface of the storage hole 3 is also coated with a light-reflecting paint as necessary to make it a light-reflecting surface. In addition, substrate 1
If the housing itself is made of a white material or the like, there is no need to intentionally apply a light reflective paint 4 or the like since the peripheral wall surface of the storage hole is already a light reflective surface.

A pair of terminal insertion holes 5, 5 are bored in the bottom of each storage hole 3, as shown in FIG. The light-emitting element 2 can be easily stored and fixed in the storage hole 3, but if necessary, apply adhesive to the bottom of the storage hole 3 or the lower surface of the light-emitting element 2 to secure it firmly. It may also be glued.

As shown in FIG. 5, this light emitting element 2 is made of, for example, gallium arsenide (GaAs), gallium phosphorous (GaP), gallium aluminum arsenide (GaAlAs).
It consists of a commercially available general-purpose solid-state lamp in which a semiconductor chip 7 such as a light-emitting diode is sealed with a translucent thermosetting resin 8. The terminal 6b connected to the semiconductor chip 7 has a structure projecting downward, and the diameter of the portion sealed with thermosetting resin is mainly 3 mmφ or 5 mmφ. Therefore, the diameter and mutual spacing of the terminal insertion holes 5, 5 are also determined in accordance with the size of the terminals of the general-purpose solid-state lamp to be used. Note that the terminal insertion holes 5, 5 may be formed in such a way that current can be passed through the inner circumferential walls thereof by directly joining a conductive wire from the back side using conductive plating or the like.

In the light-emitting display board of the present invention, a housing hole 3 constituting a desired display pattern is selected from among a large number of housing holes 3 of the substrate 1 as described above, and the terminal insertion hole 5 of the selected housing hole 3, 5 is the terminal 6 of the light emitting element 2.
a, 6b, the light emitting element 2 is housed and fixed in each selected housing hole 3, and the substrate 1
In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the storage holes 3 are selected to form the katakana "i", and the light emitting elements 2 are stored and fixed.
They are connected in series on the back side as shown in the circuit diagram in Figure 6. Incidentally, the method of series connection is not limited to the above-mentioned connection. For example, only the light emitting elements present in each vertical column of the storage unit 3 may be connected in series, or the light emitting elements present in each horizontal column may be connected in series. Various methods can be selected as appropriate, such as connecting only light-emitting elements in series. Further, the connection work may be carried out by soldering the conductive wire, but since this is time-consuming, a dedicated conductive wire 11 with connection outlets 10, 10 provided at both ends as shown in FIG. 7 is used. It is preferable to connect the terminals 6a, 6b of the light emitting element 2 to the outlets 10, 10 by using the electrical outlet.

In the above embodiment, one light emitting element 2 is housed in one housing hole 3, but in order to expand the light emitting area and improve the brightness, the housing hole 3 is configured to accommodate one light emitting element 2 as shown in FIG. The diameter of the hole 3 may be increased to accommodate a plurality of light emitting elements 2 in one storage hole 3. Furthermore, it is desirable to apply a non-reflective coating such as black-gray to the surface of the substrate 1 to make the outline of the light-emitting part clear.Furthermore, as shown in FIG. It is even more desirable to cover the surface of the substrate 1 with a light-transmitting plate 12 made of aluminum or glass, since not only the appearance will be improved, but the light-emitted light will be dispersed by the light-transmitting plate 12 and become soft light.

Functions and Effects In the light emitting display board of the present invention having the above configuration, the light emitting element 2 is housed in the housing hole 3 with the peripheral wall surface as a light reflecting surface, so that the light from the light emitting element 2 is reflected on the peripheral wall surface. The light is reflected, increasing the luminous flux density and greatly improving brightness. Moreover, the adjacent light emitting element 2
Since the light emitted from the storage hole 3 is blocked by the peripheral wall surface of the storage hole 3 and does not mix with each other, the light emitting area becomes clear and the visibility becomes extremely good.

In addition, since it is only necessary to select the storage holes 3 to form a desired display pattern and store the light emitting elements 2 only in the selected storage holes 3, the number of light emitting elements 2 used can be minimized, and the light emitting elements 2 can be Since a relatively inexpensive and easily available general-purpose solid-state lamp can be used as the body element 2, it is advantageous from an economical and practical standpoint. Moreover, the storage and fixation of the light emitting element 2 is carried out by terminals 6a and 6b.
It is very simple because you only need to insert the terminal into the terminal insertion holes 5, 5 of the storage hole 3, and there are outlets 1 on both ends.
If they are connected in series using a dedicated conductive wire 11 having 0, the wiring work can be performed very easily, so that even an amateur can easily produce a light emitting display with a desired display pattern.
