Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject darning thread free from hardening even after the thermal welding treatment by twisting a fiber bundle around a heat- shrinkable yarn, untwisting the obtained yarn in the untwisting direction and twisting a heat-weldable yarn around the obtained expanded yarn. CONSTITUTION:A heat-shrinkable yarn 11 such as spandex yarn is used as the core yarn. A core spun yarn 1 produced by twisting short fibers 12 around the outer circumference of the core yarn is untwisted in the untwisting direction. A heat-weldable yarn 2 is twisted simultaneous to the untwisting operation to obtain the objective darning thread. When the thread is heated at a temperature to cause the shrinkage of the core-spun yarn 1 without melting the yarn, the thread keeps the soft state even after the heat-welding treatment.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION <Industrial Application Field> The present invention relates to a method for producing a darning thread for preventing fraying at the edges of knit products such as gloves and sweaters.

For this purpose, as shown in Fig. 3, a thread a that shrinks with heat, an intermediate thread b1 that is wound to protect it and give the same thickness as the knitted fabric, and a thread that fuses with heat. A darning yarn made by twisting C together has been developed.

According to this structure, by heating the yarn C that is thermally fused after knitting is completed, shrinkage and fusion are performed simultaneously, thereby preventing the stitches at the ends of the knitted fabric from coming undone.

<Problems with the Prior Art> When the ends are treated with such conventional darning threads, a normal thread is wound as an intermediate thread under the heat-fused thread.

Therefore, the fused portion becomes hard and remains at the outermost part of the darning thread, and also impregnates the intermediate thread, making the whole hard, so that it comes into contact with the user's skin when putting on or taking off clothes.

<Object of the present invention> The present invention has been made to improve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and in the treatment of the ends of knitted products such as gloves and sweaters, the entire intermediate yarn remains intact even after heat-fusion treatment. To provide a method for manufacturing a darning thread that is not hard and does not injure the user's skin or cause discomfort when wearing or taking off clothes.
