Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent water form soaking into a shoe and to improve a decorative design by a method wherein an electrostatic flocking treatment is applied to the surface of the shoe which is formed by sewing together, at least, two or more pieces forming the shoe. CONSTITUTION:A shoe 1 is composed of a shoe main body 5 formed by sewing together a shoe lower part 2 and a shoe upper part 3 at a seam 4, and its surface is coated with a fiber flock layer 6 formed by electrostatic flocking. The shoe lower part 2 is made of a vinyl chloride composition and the shoe upper part 3 is formed by sewing together a sheet cut in a desired form, at a seam 7. Artificial leather with high flexibility is used as a material so as to obtain the shoe comfortable to wear. Both surfaces of the seam 4 joined by sewing together the shoe upper part 3 and the lower part 2, and the seam 7 joined by sewing the shoe upper part 3 together, are coated with the fiber layer 6. It is thus possible to prevent water form soaking into the shoe through the seams without marring an external appearance.

However, each of these shoes has the disadvantage of poor water resistance. In the former case, even if the shoe component is waterproof, water seeps through the many seams and the interior becomes wet, and in the latter case, the sock part is molded as one piece, and the seams Since there are fewer parts, there are fewer such problems than the former, but it cannot prevent seepage at all.

First, the shoe body is formed. This formation is done by sewing together at least two or more shoe components. The individual shoe components are integrally molded by conventionally known injection molding, slush molding, etc., or by forming a sheet into a predetermined shape. Conventionally known electrostatic flocking is performed using the shoe body formed in this way, which can be cut into shapes without limitation. In the method of the present invention, at this time, After applying an adhesive to a predetermined location to form an adhesive layer, the adhesive is placed in an electric or magnetic field, and fiber flock is electrostatically flocked onto the adhesive layer using a known method.

The adhesive used in the present invention must have good adhesion to both the material of the shoe body and the material of the fiber flock, and known adhesives may be selected and used as appropriate for each material. Examples of such adhesives include urethane adhesives and acrylic adhesives dissolved in solvents, water-soluble urethane adhesives, and acrylic adhesives. It is also possible to apply a primer treatment to the surface of the shoe body.

Specific Examples: The lower part of a boot as shown in FIG. 2 was made from genuine leather and used as a prototype for the sock part. A mold having a prototype surface design on the hollow inner surface is made by electroforming on the surface of this prototype. Using this hollow mold, a plastisol of vinyl chloride resin paste is cast, and heated from the outside at a temperature of 100 to 300°C for 1 to 10 minutes in an oven to semi-gel the sol from the adhesive part on the inside of the mold. After tightening and growing to a predetermined thickness, the ungelled sol inside is discharged, the remaining semi-gelled layer is further heated, completely gelled, and then cooled to create a sock with a surface similar to the original. The division was formed.

Next, apply a urethane adhesive BOND ACE 15 dissolved in a solvent to the required locations on the surface of the sewn part and the outer surface of the shoe body.
00 (manufactured by Itaben Kagaku Co., Ltd.) was applied by spraying, and then placed in a magnetic field of 10 to 100 Kv, and electrostatic flocking was performed using a fiber flock with a length of 1.0 denier and a thickness of 1.5 denier. The hair was implanted on the outer surface of the shoe body, including the surface of the sewn part. Thereafter, the inside of the shoe body was subjected to a predetermined treatment to obtain a shoe.
