[Detailed Description of the Invention] (Industrial Application Field) This invention relates to a dry-formed glazed tile, and more specifically to a tile having a characteristic shape in the shape of the back edge.

(Prior Art) A method for forming tiles includes a dry forming method in which a powdered tile base material is pressurized and compressed to form it into a predetermined shape. When applying a glaze to the surface of this dry-formed tile molded body, normally, as shown in FIG. Multiply.

8 and fired in a firing furnace. However, at this time, as shown in FIG.
This caused the following problems. That is, if the glaze 110 adheres to the baking table 106, the molded body 100 will shrink by about 10% during firing, so the base of the tile molded body may be scraped off to the side of the baking table 106 due to the binder action of the adhered glaze. Conversely, the surface portion of the baking table 106 may be scraped off to the side of the tile and be worn out, and in some cases, distortion may occur in the tile due to shrinkage resistance due to the binder action of the glaze. It cracks or chips.

(Means for solving the problem) The present invention was made to solve the above problem, and its gist is to compression mold a powder tile base material and apply a glaze to the surface of the molded product. In a tile that is produced by applying a coating, placing the back side on a baking stand, and firing it in a furnace in that state, the cross-sectional shape of the edge of the back side is such that the thickness of the tile gradually decreases as it progresses toward the edge. This is due to its curved shape.

(Function) When the cross-sectional shape of the back side edge of the tile is made into a curved shape, that is, when the back side edge is rounded to have an R shape with a predetermined curvature, the tile molded body is placed on the baking table. When placed on top, there will be a gap between the edge and the grill. Therefore, even if the applied glaze flows around from the edge of the tile molded body to the back surface, the glaze does not adhere to the surface of the baking table, and therefore, the above-mentioned problems due to glaze adhesion to the baking table do not occur.

The tile of the present invention has the advantage that the end edge of the back surface is rounded to prevent deformation and that the end edge is less susceptible to damage such as chipping. In dry-formed tiles that are formed by pressurizing powder raw materials,
When the back end edge is rounded, the compression ratio of the raw material at the end becomes high, the powder raw material is well compacted, and the packing density becomes high. Therefore, the strength of this portion is increased, making it difficult for chips to occur, and at the same time, the resistance to deformation is also increased.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 10 is a dry-formed L-shaped accessory tile, with grooves 16 and
It is equipped with 18. The soles 20, 22, 2 in the form of protrusions are formed adjacent to these 16, 18.
4, 26, sole feet 2 at both ends in the tile width direction
As shown in FIG. 2 (only the folded piece 12 side is shown in the figure), the edges of the wires 2 and 26 are rounded with a predetermined curvature. That is, the tile has a curved cross-sectional shape such that the tile thickness gradually decreases as the end edge portion advances from the center toward the end in the tile width direction. In this example, the dimension in the thickness direction of the curved portion l 1 =1
mm, and the dimension in the width direction l 2 =2 mm.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG.
The longitudinal end edges of 4 and 26 also have a similar round shape. That is, in this example, the entire periphery of the back surface of the tile 10 is rounded.

In the case of such a tile 10, when the glaze 36 (FIG. 4) is applied to the surface of the molded product and it is placed on the baking table 32 for firing, the peripheral edge of the tile 10 does not touch the baking table 32. It will be in a slightly floating state. That is, a minute gap 34 is created between the upper surface of the baking table 32 and the peripheral edge of the tile 10. Therefore, even if the glaze 36 wraps around to the back side of the edge of the tile during glazing, the glaze 36a that has wrapped around will not adhere to the baking table 32, and the above-mentioned problems due to such glaze adhesion will not occur.

Further, in the tile 10 of this example, the peripheral edge portion of the back surface is rounded, so that the packing density of the raw material at the same end portion is increased, and accordingly, the rigidity and strength of this portion are also increased. For this reason, damage such as chipping is less likely to occur at the edge of the tile, and from a structural standpoint, a strong frame is formed around the periphery of the tile, thereby suppressing deformation of the entire tile.

Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, the present invention can also be configured in other forms. For example, in the above example, an L-shaped accessory tile was explained as an example, but the present invention is also applicable to various other shapes of accessory tiles and flat tiles. The shape and curvature can also be changed in various ways. However, in order to achieve the purpose of the present invention, the dimensions l 1 and l 2 of the curved portion of the edge should be at least 0.3 mm, respectively.
0.3mm or more is required, preferably 1mm, 1mm
That's all. In addition, the present invention can be configured with various modifications without departing from the spirit thereof.

This prevents the glaze that has gotten around to the back side of the edge during glazing from adhering to the baking table, thereby preventing damage or wear to the tile or baking table, and preventing deformation of the tile and chipping of the edge. Excellent effects such as prevention of such problems are produced.
